I'm thinking fairly local to us, since we'll also be going (hopefully) to 
GenCon this year, which really pushes the limits of practical driving 
distance (especially since with the new job Carl won't have vacation... of 
course, Carl, if you get John to go, you could discuss work stuff on the 
way and call it a business trip, right?)  But that encompasses Kansas 
City, Tulsa, Oklahoma City, the whole Joplin/Table Rock/Beaver 
Lake/Branson area (three words:  Precious Moments Motel), all some fairly 
nice places.
