There's a misfeature in the Firehawk (current software) file handling... the *first* thing it does with a message is trim out any MIME segments other than the text version of the message. It saves files to the groupname/files/ web directory, and puts a link in the message. So far, so good... but then that message might get bumped for moderation, rejected for nonsubscribership, whatever. Initial spam checking has taken place earlier, but a fair amount still reaches this point... and those files are not getting cleaned up well. So until we go to Gamehawk, I'm just arbitrarily shutting off that file-saving feature. Should someone upload a file, and then panic because it's gone, I can pull it back up from the incoming logs (we save the originals of incoming messages because I am a pack rat with data as well as with physical junk), but I don't think that happens much at all anymore, what with the wikis and all (which are a whole 'nother can of worms). -- -------------------------------------------------------------- Game(s): The Whole Phoenyx Listowner tools are found at http://www.phoenyx.net/listowners/
