But I still might get an update put on there. Some substantial changes in the last couple weeks. The main functionality is the tracking of read and unread messages, which will also work for guests (who allow cookies, anyway). We're not on the new server yet, but I've got a workaround for our outdated bit, so I'll also be moving everything to the current live server, which will eliminate the manual import of Firehawk to Gamehawk posts. Because Firehawk's still involved, it's still a batch process, but the lag will be down to probably ten minutes max, as opposed to "whenever Karen decides to run the updater." Lots of little updates as well. The reply form is still provisional, but it'll build a quoted version of the message. There are Atom as well as RSS feeds. All the menus and links are more sensible (though they'll continue to evolve as we watch usage patterns). I may have already mentioned it here, but I've split up the Gamehawk development list to make it more non-developer friendly. Send mail to gamehawk-on@wirebird.com to join, then send mail to majordomo@wirebird.com with: droptopics gamehawk perl droptopics gamehawk sql droptopics gamehawk html if you want to lose all of the technical discussion and only follow bug reports and new feature discussion. Obviously, if you know HTML or CSS but not Perl, you don't need to drop the +html topic, things like that. -- Karen J. Cravens silver@phoenyx.net
