As mentioned in the news feed, we're 99% on the new server now. Mail is being forwarded from the less-new server for handling on the new server, the only thing the less-new server does anymore (and soon will stop). Once mail is transferred, we won't be dependent on any of the machines in our basement anymore, which I suppose means Phoenyx World Headquarters is a hosting service somewhere now. This is probably a good thing, since we're scheduled for Round 2 of the ice storm tomorrow afternoon. (We've had no power losses yet, but Round 1 was pretty mild.)
The new server is now handling www.phoenyx.net, along with forum.phoenyx.net and wiki.phoenyx.next (which it's been doing for awhile now). If you noticed a slowdown earlier today, it was the transfer of the 300MB(!) database from the less-new to the new server.
So now: whew. And now I get to set up the new test/dev setup, so that I can start the next release cycle. Whee!
