News:

1. Phoenyx approved my application and we are moving the list to
phoenyx.net. Each of you will need to subscribe to the new list
address. All you have to do is send an email to akus-on@phoenyx.net.
The body of the email doesn't matter. You can also go to
http://www.phoenyx.net/akus and subscribe online there. You will
receive an email reply welcoming you and containing information on
subscribing, unsubscribing and getting help.

Once you have subscribed your main address, you can subscribe
alternate addresses. These alternate addresses can send mail to the
list, but won't receive mail. The process is to send an email from
your main address to robot@phoenyx.net with the first line in the body
containing...

  IAm your@new.address

...this will associate this new address with your main address. You
can subscribe more than one alternate address, one per line.

I'm sorry, but I don't know how to turn on digest mode at this moment.
I'll try to find out.

Game mail goes to akus@phoenyx.net, but will only be accepted from
list members, and just to make sure everything is set up correctly the
first email (only) will be moderated.

2. Yahoo reports that groups will be offline from Friday night until,
probably, Sunday morning as they move their servers. I'm not killing
that account, but I do encourage you to move to the phoenyx list as
soon as you can.

Terry,

I don't think there is anything stopping you from signing up for
two "main" addresses. You'll receive mail at both and send mail
from both, that's just like we have now...or would have a
TravellerCentral. The alternative address thing is for the
addresses where you might want to send, but not receive mail. At
least that's my understanding.

Eris, can I be deleted from Yahoo groups now?

The bright side is now SPAM on the phoenyx.net incoming mail, but getting
double of everything is going to drive me bonkers.

Oddly enough, I am getting doubles but only posts from Eris.

Terry,

That's probably because I was sending everything to yahoogroups
*and* phoenyx just to be sure everyone saw everything.

And I thought it was Stu and the kids.

Yeah, and if you're going to be posting from
mira@mail.worldkey.net you might want to add that as an
alternative address, too. ;-p

sigh. That is the stupid webmail program doing that. I log in as
mira@websuz.com, but it sends the mail as mira@mail.worldkey.net. Isn't
that precious.

Terry,

I think it worked! I did a list of subscribers and both your
addresses were there...and both your test posts came through.

I still need to figure out how to get digests turned on and...and
other stuff, though.
