Shawn spends the entire morning digging into all the data sources on Sequi and comes up with nine possible cargos... Lot 1: Barium (190 dtons) 2,660,000 marks ** Lot 2: Fiberglass (220 dtons) 123,200 marks * Lot 3: Uranium (6 dtons) 58,800,000 marks **** Lot 4: Coffee (50 dtons) 2, 240,000 marks *** Lot 5: Hemp Rope (70 dtons) 10,780 marks Lot 6: Fiberglass (120 dtons) 67,200 marks * Lot 7: Coal (145 dtons) 42,630 marks ** Lot 8: Coffee (10 dtons) 448,000 marks *** Lot 9: Tobacco (78 dtons) 245,700 *** Shawn is confident that these are the best prices he can get for these potential cargos. He has placed stars next to the cargos he thinks will sell best on Mark. The more stars the better a prospect he thinks it is. None of the producers are especially interested in breaking up lots, but might if he is willing to pay a premium. Well we won't starve if we crash... Did I actually ask or only think about asking: Do we have a current 'occupancy' map for the Mae Lee? As in who's in which stateroom, etc? I need to know. What do we have free on Deck 1? I'm presuming all on deck 2 are reserved for passengers. I know the large suite, formerly the Captains's suite has been turned into office/conference space. Can it be made up for our high passenger? I believe I have either cabin 1 or 2; I do remember I took a small cabin. The other 3 large cabins on deck 1 are taken by crew, iirc. I need to know where people are: Shawn Mira Jac Kelly Cory Arvitis Anspor Woof Jezebel Ukanav Zeke Ricardo (either D1-1 or D1-2, iirc) By this count we have 2 large-ish cabins on Deck-1 plus all the smaller ones there b1-b5 4 large cabins A-D on Deck 2 and three small e-g We have one high passage, 11 business class (8 footballers plus the two doctors and Marta) So we have 24 people to stick in 27 cabins...we may not need double occupancy after all, it would seem...:-/ I must have miscounted before or (more likely) missed those 5 cabins on the starboard side of Deck 1. -- Bruce Johnson University of Arizona College of Pharmacy Information Technology Group Institutions do not have opinions, merely customs

I'm sure one of my computers somewhere has the archives of it and maybe even yahoo-groups. It'd take a lot of digging, though, so I think we should just sort of start over with everyone reporting where they think they are bunked and working from there. >What do we have free on Deck 1? Can it be made up for our high passenger? NO!!! You don't compromise security by putting passengers on the crew deck. The possible exception is those in sickbay and those visiting those in sickbay and those should probably be monitored. Come to think of it, sickbay probably should have been on the passenger deck and the lab up on the crew deck. Never thought about it before. If you do make an exception, be certain its an exception and figure out what you're going to do security-wise to counter the incursion into 'our' territory. The layout is not such that you could make any of the sleeping areas securely sectioned off (later modifications, you understand) because the lift is so centrally located. Plus, if you did do that, you'd then either have to route them down to dine with the other passengers or worry about having to have two separate sittings for meals, each out of a different galley. >I believe I have either cabin 1 or 2; I do remember I took a small >cabin. The other 3 large cabins on deck 1 are taken by crew, iirc. I'm in #4 right across from sick bay. If I recall correctly, Mira was prepared to do battle for that stateroom even though I think she was offered one of those larger onesI think Cory had either #5 or #6. I think it was #6 because of some sort of noise he might make with a musical instrument, but I'm not certain of that. MiraSuz

Then the problem arises that we have way too many cabins on the 'crew' deck, and too few on the 'passenger' deck. We have enough cabins that we can run warship crewing levels, and there's no prospect of having that many people on board. (and we're screwed anyway, this trip. But we can put Marta and the two doctors on our deck this trip with little risk, I suspect, and I doubt a powerful industrialist is going to hijack the Mae Lee.) I'm mostly thinking of the five cabins marked b1-5 on Deck 1...the remaining cabins in the middle belong to Martan and Sarge if/when we reconnect with them. For that matter, they may already have claimed cabins...we did find the ship quite a whiles before they left on the Satago. If we're not carrying passengers there, those should be turned into storerooms or something. > Come to think of it, sickbay probably should have been on the passenger > deck and the lab up on the crew deck. Never thought about it before. Yep...this is not how I'd have laid out the ship. That said, Eris, just how modular IS this stuff...I never thought about this before, but what if we want to rearrange things on the ship. > If you do make an exception, be certain its an exception and figure out > what you're going to do security-wise to counter the incursion into 'our' > territory. Lock the doors to the bridge and weapons control rooms. Lock our staterooms. We can probably alarm those so if someone opens them we know about it. >>I believe I have either cabin 1 or 2; I do remember I took a small >>cabin. If you note, they have dividers between them, but that passage in front of them is an open passage, no doors, it they are lucky there might be a curtain. And they don't have freshers, they share the one at the end next to b5. As for modular, how do you do modular with plumbing involved? Suz
