OOC: Okay, then, that's the way Woof heads... Woof crosses the almost dry streambed and angles south and west up over the ridge. The rain continues to come down and starts getting harder as the sky turns very dark. There are occasional flashes of lightening and rumbling up in the clouds. Woof tries his comm unit several times, but it isn't until he has passed the last valley where the dams are located and is down in the, mostly, flat land leading down toward the river that he gets a signal...it's scratchy and static filled, but he has a dial tone. As Woof starts to key in a number (to whom?) he hears an echoing "Boom" to his north, then what could be two small "booms", or could be thunder, he can't be sure. Meanwhile, Jez has dealt with the second "device", the one in the water of the northmost stream, and is heading back south. The rain is very heavy and the wind is starting to whip down the valleys. As she passes down into the valley with the central dam she sees whitecaps on the surface of the lake, and water is starting to slop over the top of the earth and rock dam. As she hurries her horse past the dam she sees water coming through the dirt...this dam isn't going to hold for more than another hour at this rate, and all that water is going to come rushing down this valley into the river to the west. Jez continues heading back for the southern most dam and is moving up the opposite ridge when she hears an echoing "BOOM!" followed almost immediately by two much smaller "booms" to her north. Jez, hears rumbling and crashing coming from over the ridge and her horse's ears stand straight up as it plants its feet...clearly startled by the noises. Jezebel has carefully wedged herself between a couple of large rocks in the outcrop in an attempt to make herself less likely to become a kite in the steadily rising winds. The position seems considerably less precarious than her last one but unfortunately a river somehow seems to have found it's way down the back of her duster and she's growing more and more uncomfortable by the minute. She looks at the horse and frowns, "Lovely weather," she screams in an attempt to be hears above the roaring winds, "you come here often or this your first trip to the hill country." There's a groaning crack and a large section of tree flies off the bluff above them and crashes to the ground not twenty meters from their current position. "Ya it's my first time too," she looks at the tree for a moment, "I hear the fishing is good. Not that I'm much of a fisherwoman, always struck me as a triffle boring myself." She clicks her com, "Woof, Woof." She screams, "You still okay buddy? I'll tell you one thing this isn't how I expected my second day on the job on a starship to be." Jezebel chuckles for a moment, "I hope the ship is a bit drier than this." Lysia Jezebel David

The wind whistles by and water is coming off the overhanging rock like a minor waterfall, but underneath the ground is dry... ...the horse starts and snorts, its nostrals flaring as it pulls back against your reigns, and you see the ground under the overhang is occupied. The wind whistles by and water is coming off the overhanging rock like a minor waterfall, but underneath the ground is dry... ...the horse starts and snorts, its nostrals flaring as it pulls back against your reigns, and you see the ground under the overhang is occupied. Jezebel looks about a moment, standing there in the pouring rain with the wind lashing about the trees. Water streams down her face as she looks up towards the skies. A long scream of joy and adrenilene pours forth from her lungs. Her arms streatch out and she closes her eyes for a moment to better hear the winds and feel the individual drops of rain on her face. She stands there a moment savoring the sensations before reopening her eyes and heading down towards the clump of trees. She takes a careful look about to see if this storm is producing any lightening, 'Best not to get myself parbroiled by mother nature on my first day on the job,' she reasons. She gives a quick glance over her shoulder at the overhang, "If this weren't such a damn fine storm," she shouts at the sleeping snake, "I'd have a new set of boots right about now." Jezebel grins and marches down the hillside towards the grove of trees with purpose. Lysia Jezebel David
