Ricardo has three messages waiting for him when he arrives back at the Starport with the ship. Message One: An email from the football team's manager asking when the new launch date is and when they can board. He includes a reminder that his group must be on Mark by 272, and if you can't get them there by then, he'll have to make other arrangements. 2. There is a Stellagram from Mark that arrived yesterday from Sir Authur Gunt. [Remember that Sequi is only a couple of light days from Mark, and there is regular service of electronic mail between the neighboring planets} Gunt expresses his condolences for the loss of your partners aboard the /Santago/, but reminds you that your company has already taken 50,000 marks of his money to deliver a package to his business partner on Montrose, and he wants to know if you intend to honor that contract, or if he needs to contact his lawyers. He is willing to provide you with a duplicate package for delivery to Montrose, but further reminds you that there is a deadline for this delivery. He will await your reply until 268 before instituding legal proceedings. 3. There is another Stellagram from your lawyers on Mark. They have recieved notification that another cousin has been found by the law firm on Argent, and that this person is expected to arrive on Mark before 270. The question is do you want us to direct this person to your next stop or to Sequi? Eris AKU GM

She recuited them then said, "Oh, Eris, I hope you didn't mind, but..." There's no secret here, though. The two new prospective players are Bob and Hope Kondrk. Bob is developing a new character, the "missing cousin", and Hope is re-working April Rose, the cousin that disappeared on the way to Mark. Hope and I will have to work out why April disappeared, where she's been and why she's back...well, okay, I've worked that out and need to let her in on it ...before she can rejoin you. Adding Joe Roberts to the game has a certain appeal to me as well. Maybe as Kelly or Martan. I'll need to talk to him. Final bit of news, Earl Hampton (Cory) has resurfaced after his move across country. He wrote that he is getting internet service this week and hopes to resub with his new address...and presumably bring Cory out of his slumber and back into the game. I'm expecting to be making an official "Business" post sometime this week. Eris AKU GM

At this point I'm totally lost in time...can we do this? We're ten days off of 272, a week in jump, does Ricardo have an idea of how long the preparations and transit to jump and back to Mark will take, or this dependent on the success Shawn has with plotting a course? If this is doable I call the manager (not e-mail) and ask him to send asap any dietary requirements for the team so that Woof has the appropriate list for the chandler. > 2. There is a Stellagram from Mark that arrived yesterday from > Sir Authur Gunt. Ricardo will send a reply back to Sir Gunt that we are returning to Mark, with an ETA of XXX fill in the blanks, and afterwards we are continuing on towards our original course, so that if the resultant time delay is acceptable we'll execute the contract. > 3. There is another Stellagram from your lawyers on Mark. Ricardo thinks for a moment, then decides that asking his lawyers to simply space the person would probably be a bad idea, and sends a reply that we are returning to Mark, eta XXX as per the above, and to out them up at the other law firm's dime until we get there and can take official delivery of the new cousin. If this stuff cannot be done without Shawn doing the astrogation, then Ricardo will take over for Shawn in the cargo loading, since he can do it as well...we'll need the fastest path to Mark at this point, so the better he can astrogate the better for all concerned. I'd *like* to get offworld and outbound in a day, day and a half at the most. Ricardo will know a heck of a lot better than Bruce as to whether this is possible.
