Mae Lee: 0997:262.0800-1400: The Crew is Busy!

No sooner is the ship back than Shawn gets a comm from Crag
Marsten asking if it is okay to begin delivering the freight, and
shortly thereafter large trucks begin appearing outside the cargo
hold of the /Mae Lee/.

Shawn and Woof are the two most experienced cargo handlers, but
they are going to need help getting all of these containers,
crates and boxes stowed away in the ship's hold. Shawn thinks a
team of four should be able to handle the loading.

Woof is aware that the ship's stores need reprovisioning. He, or
someone is going to have to make a run to a Chandler to pick up
supplies. He could do it alone, but idealy someone should go
along to help with it. Woof also is well aware that the ship's
passenger areas are unready because of their use during the
recent emergency and someone is going to have to spend the day
cleaning and preparing rooms.

Ricardo and Shawn both realize that a flight plan needs to be
made out and filed, as well as working out the jump plot. Shawn
is going to have to find time for that as he's the only one with
any skill at Astrogation aboard.

Kelly, Ukanav, and Anspor are going to be busy with repairs to
the ship's boat so they won't be able to help. Arvitis, Jez,
Zeek, Cory, Jac, and Mira are available.

Ricardo and Shawn have to quickly assign duties to the crew, and
they are going to have to "snap too" if you intend to get the
ship off on schedule.

Shawn will ask Arvitis, Jez, Zeek, Cory, Jac, and Mirato help out and
hope that three other people say yes. He will tell one of them that
Woof could use a pair of legs in getting the stuff from the chandler
while Woof scrubs the rooms down.

Shawn will be burning the midnight oil to get his part of this done.

Shawn won't get in Ricardo's way and let him get things organized.

Jezebel nods and a small smile spreads across her face. "Sorting cargo is
what tiggers to best."

She heads back to her quarters, changes into something slightly less
delicate before heading down to the cargo hold.

"What do I need to pick up skippie?"

Mira makes certain that Woof has a list of anything she needs to restore
sickbay to proper stock levels for all meds, bandages, regen supples, etc,
as well as anything she needs for her hydroponics lab. Then she promptly
volunteers to Ricardo to clean and prep the rooms and that she'd be happy
to keep Cory's behind moving on the same project, if he could spare more
than one to share the work, or not.

"We'll need help, Shawn. Whoever we can round up would be good. I'm going
to need to have everyone submit to me a listing of anything needed to
reprovision the ship. I'm handling the food stuffs, but if there's anything
you can think of, let me know.

"I'm planning a run to the Chandlers after we get everything loading. I'll
ask the crew to let me know. If you'd assign someone to go along, it'd be a
help." Woof sighs. "We've got a ton to do. I've gotta get the rooms
prepped, too.

He makes a general announcement over the 1MC. "I am assembling the resupply
list. If you have any requirements for restockage, put a list on my
terminal I'll check it and get back to you on any questions."

"Shawn, I'll let you know the damages."

This will take all day 262, and in the evening Shawn can work up the flight plan and get it filed. What's the lift off date and time?

Woof needs to collect lists and then do the shopping. This can be done on 262 and what you buy delivered on 263.

Refueling can be accomplished by the afternoon of 263. Unrefined or refined?

Mira snaps to and hauls Cory off, bodily if necessary and the two set to
cleaning house. The time passes quickly what with all the exchanges of wit,
double entendres, flaming cheeks (mira) and one pillow fight to highlight
the otherwise tedious chore. In the end, they are exhausted and Mira leads
a grousing Cory to the galley and fetches a cold beersii for each of them
before sinking gratefully into a seat.

Its about that time that someone tells her she's got a delivery of supplies
for Sick Bay and before she can even thank them, someone else is wanting to
deliver supplies for the 'ponics lab. She takes the beersii with her, and a
grousing Cory, too, and they get all of that stocked in and put away, too.

Then they collapse in the galley again with another beersii.

Anspor and Kelly come in while Mira and Cory are resting. They both look hot and sweaty, and Anspor's jumpsuit is badly stained with grease and something undefinable that has left a bright red splotch.

"Hey!" Kelly says cheerfully as he wipes his grimy hands on an equally grimy cloth towel, "You got another couple of those?"

Anspor takes a seat at the table across from Mira and smiles at her, "We have the holes patched in that boat..."

"...*again!*" Kelly finishes as he hands an opened long neck bottle to Anspor. In his other big hand he has another beersi, "I don't know who's idea it was to get *bottles* of beersi, but these are damn good."

He raises the bottle to his lips and takes a swig, "Ah! Cold beersi after hot worksi. Can't be beat!"

"What'ch two been up to, ta get so sweaty?" Kelly asks grinning.

Ukanav and Jac are in the galley when Mira and Cory arrive this time. Both have glasses of what looks like red wine and are chatting in vargr. When Mira and Cory come in they look up from their conversation. Unkanav twitches his ears in greeting.

Jac smiles and says, "Do come in. What can I get you?"

Shawn laid in with a will to the cargo duties. He enjoyed the sense of
accomplishment as the work progressed until the last item was secured.

"Thanks for a great job, everybody. Lets go get some food."

Shawn will lead the way back to the galley and get something whipped up
for everyone.

After a short meal (for him) he made his way to the bridge and began
the long task of setting up the flight plan and jump calculations. He
purposely did not look at the time because he did not want to know how
late it was.

His eyes began to feel the strain after a bit and he decided to take a
short snack break. He made his way to the galley and got some pudding
and fruit juice.

If anyone was there, he chatted for a bit.

When done, he made his way back to the bridge and wrapped up the work
and filed the flight plan.

When all was said and done, he made his long overdue way to his bunk
for the evening. A long, hot shower relaxed him and he colapsed into
the crisply made bunk with a sigh.

Shawn finds that Ukanav and Jac have cooked up a meal of fish, rice, and some sort of vegetable dish. It is a bit different from their usual fare aboard the /Mae Lee/, but it is tasty.

Ricardo and Woof, who have been busy all day have both stopped in the galley to grab a very late, warmed over, dinner of leftovers. Ricardo has arranged for the refueling and gotten that finished. The ship's fuel processor can be cranked up and go to work on it tomorrow. Woof has arranged for supplies to be delivered. Some have already come in, but the rechargers for the main life support modules and most of the food supplies will be delivered tomorrow morning.

When the three men compare notes, it looks like the ship will be ready to lift by late afternoon tomorrow...263.

OOC: The Doctors Page, have spent the day in town and the night in a hotel, but they, and the record executive will be looking to board tomorrow morning. When is the sports team and the father traveling to his daughter's wedding coming aboard?

Ricardo's forgotten all about 'GMTTCOT'...he heads to a terminal and
sends him an urgent mail asking if he still wants to take passage with
us, the "Mae Lee" is lifting tomorrow afternoon 1600, with an eta of
270-271 at Mark, so he needs to arrive at 1530, 1500 if he's got more
than carry on luggage.

If he needs to use his 1Dton (iirc, what is high passage's allotment?)
personal cargo space, that should arrive for loading at 1300.
Sincerely &tc Ricardo O'Brien Captain "Mae Lee"...

He'll e-mail the team manager that they're to have their gear at the
"Mae Lee" by 1300, and themselves in time for lift-off at 1530. We'll
certainly be able to accomodate their needs for Gym space.

He then checks in on Shawn, excersizing his captains right to get in
the way ;-), has another beersi with Kelly as he catches up with him
non the status of the ship, and does a walkaround of the ship before
retiring.

In the morning, he does his prefight inspection of the exterior and
interior of the ship, and figures out where to put the workout area for
the team. Do we have an area of cargo deck we can use, perhaps some of
the Walk's hagar area, perhaps. I'm looking for a way to get some space
while maintaining security.

Ricardo belatedly remembers the roll-up flexible gates ol' Gregor had
on his tub, 'The Potted Plant'...he could move them around the roof of
his cargo area, roll 'em down and lock 'em to the floor to provide
separately securable areas on his cargo decks. He got 'em as a
requirement for mail carriage back in the CSA, but it also let him
advertise 'Special Secure Cargo Facilities' to clients, move livestock,
and he could rent the 'Plant' out for illicit cage matches.

He'll make a note in his PDA to ask Pete if he had some or knew where
he could get them, if the Mae Lee doesn't already have them. (I'm
thinking of the flexible gates they use at stadiums and for storefronts
here...)

OOC> Do we *have* PDA's? If not it's in his notebook he habitually (as
of now ;-) carries with him, for such a purpose....since I just added
several entries into the ol' auxilary brain...my Newton...Hey, I'll
even accept something as big as a Newt..which would fit in your
big-bulky-electronics theme...

Jezebel spends the day working in the cargo hold putting things where
they're supposed to go she follows her orders to the letter and doesn't
question any of them. She also makes sure that her stuff is somewhere
easily accessible, even if that means moving it to another area.

As the sun slowly vanishes behind the horizon she takes one last look out
the cargo doors before heading upstairs where she takes a long and luxurious
shower. Jezebel barely glances at the disaster area that is her quarters,
there will be plenty of time to make this place home in transit.

She stumbles across the hall and collapses on one of the couches in the crew
lounge.

Ricardo receives a call back, "Captain O'Brien, not a problem! I'll be at your airlock tomorrow noon with two bags. Won't need any cargo space a'tal. Will that be copa with you?"

"Ship's ready to jump, Skipper." Kelly says with a grin, "But, Ricky if you don't stop getting our boat stove up I'm going to make *you* do the repairs, you hear?"

The cargo hold is going to be pretty jammed, and the boat hanger doesn't have enough empty space. Any other empty spaces on the /Mae Lee/...perhaps you should talk it over with Shawn and/or Woof?

Good thing to remember. Maybe you'll be able to find something like that at Pete's.

OOC: LOL! Yes, you can have a PDA, Newton sized, heavy and clunky, but capable.

"Woof, the team needs some space to do calisthenics and
set up a treadmill or two. Got any ideas where we could set something
like that up on board?"

Anxious father. The team has almost no gear, you get the
impression they are taking a bag of balls and a small duffle bag
for each person, one dton is more than enough for all of them
together.

"It might be worth trying." Kelly grins and winks at Ricardo.
