Ilane stretched and leaned back in the pilot's chair. The flight back in from the asteroid had been uneventfully...just long, and tiring. Now, after landing on the Mark Downport field and taxing over to the McCall lot she was ready to turn this boat back over to its owner and stretch her legs. April glances over at her cousin and sees a tired expression on her face. The trip in hadn't been difficult and both of them seemed to enjoy playing the music and talking, but now Ilane looks tired. Checking the time she sees that they have about 6 hours before the scheduled meeting with the others at the Plugged Nickle. Thinking about that she can't help but chuckle again at the thought of "Captain O'Brien"...the last time she saw Ricardo he had a week's growth of beard and was dressed in a floral shirt, cut off jeans and flip flops...not the sort of person to inspire confidence in passengers or crew. As you step out of the boat you are greeted by Si McCall himself. "Welcome back, siannas!" he says holding out his hand to shake, "I hope your trip was a successfull one." The boat is checked out quickly and pronounnced in good condition, as is the other gear that was rented...the vacc suit that April was wearing for example. McCall wishes you both good day and you are back in Mark City's Startown with over 5 hours to kill before the 2000 meeting. Eris AKU GM.

Ilane gives him a big smile, trying to fight off her fatigue. "Yes, it *was*, Si McCall...thank you!" She looks over towards the boat's cargo bay. "We'll need to rent a grav van to move our cargo though. Could we do that through you or could you recommend someone?" [PTGM: Are either Ilane or April skilled enough to drive a grav van?] > The boat is checked out quickly and pronounnced in good condition, as is > the other gear that was rented...the vacc suit that April was wearing > for example. Should we see if we can drop our stuff off at the ship, or wait until after the meeting?" She yawns, but tries to surpress it. "I'm toying around with the idea of taking a little nap before then, but I'm afraid that I'll end up not being able to sleep tonight..." -- Bob K. Flat charge of ten marks a day." > [PTGM: Are either Ilane or April skilled enough to drive > a grav van?] OOC: Yes, both of you can drive a grav van or air/raft. You are from high tech society's where driving a grav vehicle is a default of 0. Although, neither of you have the skill to deal with Formidable tasks of driving without major risk of failure, simply driving around is Easy and either of you can deal with that. >> The boat is checked out quickly and pronounnced in good >> condition, as is the other gear that was rented...the >> vacc suit that April was wearing for example. McCall, overhearing you mention taking a nap, says, "If you don't already have a place to stay, you might want to check out Mama Kent's Boarding House. She keeps a good clean house and caters mainly to the independent spacer crowd." If you are interested, he will give you directions. Eris AKU GM

The directions are to a location only a few blocks away between the Starport and the warehouse district along the river. April recognizes the address as being in the center of Startown within walking distance of everything from the Starport to the Plugged Nickel. Eris AKU GM
