The crew gathers outside the ship. Ricardo, Shawn, Mira, Woof, Kelly,
Lysia, and Jac are here, and as they turn toward to walk away, Arvitis
comes bounding down the ramp behind them calling out...

"Hey, wait for me!"

"Anspor and Ukanav said they'd hold down the fort while we were gone."
Arivitis says, "I don't see Cory. Isn't he joining us?"

...

The group walks toward the Terminal Building. There is a car park next
to it, and Lysia keeps looking over that way, and her eyes light up as
she sees her vehicle parked there.

Getting through customs here is easy and goes without a hitch. Everyone
gets a card they can use to come and go to the ship without having to go
through an inspection each time and hears a very brief lecture on gun
laws and local customs.

OOC: What next? Lysia's car (you won't all fit), walk to the bar, catch
a bus, rent a vehicle?

"It's just down the way here, three blocks. Let's walk!" Woof says.

Mira nods, "Works for me!"

And continues along with him.

Woof breathes deeply. "Something about fresh air! I can't wait until you
really get the garden going. I think you might find people wanting to hang
there if you get it smelling to nice..."

He snaps his fingers. "Gardenia's!" he exclaims. "They smell really really
good."

Mira chuckles, "I have a lot of neat ideas for down there. Sheer decoration
isn't chief among them. I could put a gardenia or two in pots around the
lounge area, you can keep them compact if you prune carefully, but overall,
I'm looking for things that can be grown in our ship's environment by hook
or by crook and can provide some addition to the food stocks. But I'll
think about the gardenias or something similar."

Lysia nods and follows along, drinking in her first views of Mark in three
years.

"You never realize how much a place is a part of you until it's not there
any more."

Oh, man the 'Nickle is right around the corner. We walk. It's good to
have a friendly bar within crawling distance of home. ;-)

Kelly looks around as the group walks. Woof and Mira walk arm in arm
chatting about flowers and plants. Lysia glances back at the car park a
time or two, but trudges along with the crowd. Jac, taps his cane on the
sidewalk as he walks and chats with anyone about nothing important.

The sidewalks are crowded with people from all stratas of society from
colorfully dressed spacers, drab dressed local workers, to the more
elegantly dressed travellers and upper crust of Mark society out for a
"crawl" through Startown.

The party turns down a less heavily traveled street and are soon
approaching The Plugged Nickel.

You see a pair of women entering the building as you approach.

they cute? ;-)

You only get a look at one of them. You don't know her, but she is tall
and attractive.

"Careful Shawn," Lysia says with a grin, "those could be the one's I warned you about."

"I'll be sure and ask to be sure, since you are uncertain."

OOC: Cousins can be far out from genetic similarity and in our cases,
are. None of us, that we know of, are very closely related at all. You
know, a family tree might be interesting to work out.

Distant cousins, besides you know what folks say about us Southerners
don't you?

OOG: Well, considering that the Biblical Jacob, Leah and Rachel were
first cousins, I don't see the problem. Besides, kissin' cousins are
*fun* ;-)
