What was hidden?

OOC: I'm going to do a quick review of what happened during a period of
a few days about 4 weeks ago (4 to 3 years real time) on Mark, at the
asteroid and aboard the ship. Ya'll can tell it to April and Ilane IG,
or just let me do it OOC.

First, while looking for the missing ship the crew found a carry on bag
with some clothing and assorted other things. In particular, there was a
notebook and some data disks.

1. The data disks contained some basic personal use software, some
financial data, and coded material that hasn't been deciphered.

2. The notebook contained information related to bank accounts on
several planets in the area around Mark.

Second, at the asteroid where the PC's expected to find the ship. The
PC's arrived just as a crew was getting the ship hidden there ready to
leave. There was a fight, and damage was done to the hatches. After the
Space Patrol dealt with the hijackers, the PC's spent a little time on
the asteroid. They didn't ransack the place or completely wipe the
computer. Someone else did that *after* the PC's left.

Third, after getting the ship back (and discovering all sorts of damage
like someone had been searching for something) the PC's discovered a
smuggler's hole that contained a large piece of aerogel that looks to a
denso scan like a block of metal...a hunk of the hull. This was a rare
and to most of you a completely unknown material. Inside the aerogel
there were 5 slots to hold small items, 3 were occupied.

1. There was a packet of letter from Mazie Campbell to Mae Lee Moby.
These letter were returned to Mazie just before the ship left Mark for
Sequi.

2. There was video tape (the infamous surveillance tape) that contained
a record of four "meetings" that took place over the last months of
Akus' life, basically the last voyage.

3. There was a silver cylinder that contained a test tube that
contained a dark liquid. The liquid has not been analyzed yet.

Later that day, Ricardo locked the tape and cylinder/tube in the safe.
The tape has come out and been looked at, but the cylinder has remained
in the safe. The data disks and notebook are also in the safe.

Hope that helps.

OOC> Good lord! I had *completely* forgotten the notebook and disks we
found. Not surprising, though, as we got blown out of the sky not too
long after, then faced down Woof and a psycho ex-crewmember in the
Random Walk, and, well, things got more than a little busy.

Shhh! Don't tell anyone, but I had, too. I was kidding Greg and Suz on
IRC last night that it's been so long I've forgotten big hunks of my
plot. Well, it's only *been* 4+ years, and those notes are archived
away on another computer. I think I should go find some of those notes
and print them out and put them in a notebook.

Say! Didn't you say you had a set of searchable Akus archives somewhere
on your website?

I do, but chunks are missing (but the part we're talking about is in
the first archive 'Beck to Mark') It covers 1/98-8/99 (from Beck to
Mark) and 7/2000-7/2002. (from Mark To Sequi...*and we just got
back!!!*) I have all the mail since then, just not in archive form,
though it's about time.

And it's not searchable, just indexed. I swear I have all of it
around...somewhere, but my filing system (4,345 different CD's,
Floppies, Zip disks and Syquest disks all labelled 'Stuff')
