Plugged Nickel Finished?

OOC: Are you finished with your "get acquainted" and discussion  session 
in the Plugged Nickel? If you are then I'd like to get some closure from 
all of you on how you end it, and where you go from here.

Jac glances at his wristwatch and stifles a yawn, "As enjoyable as this 
has been, perhaps we should begin thinking about concluding our meeting. 
Captain, you said you were giving crew some time off. Would you like to 
amplify on that, who gets time off...how much and when...and who has 
what work to do?"

alright for us to move our stuff onto the ship, Ricardo?  I've got a van 
crammed with spare parts to unload too..."

Shawn will make sure and ask all the girls to spin around the dance
floor at least once. He's not great but he has a fun time with it. They
are here to have a good time, after all. He won't drink much and
nothing heavier than beersi. He will remind everyone that he intends to
go see a Varg'r howl and they are all welcome to join him.

Kelly talks with the others for a while, and takes a turn or two around 
the floor with any willing female dance partner. Afterwards, he decides 
to take a stroll, find something to eat and sober up before he goes 
home for the evening.

April will gladly take another turn on the floor with Kelly. They're dance was 
cut a bit short.  She asks him about Second Cathey and what his tour was like.

Ilane proves more than willing to take him up on it, and as before she politely

Ilane has had maybe about four drinks by the end of their time at the Plugged 
Nickel, enough to feel a pleasant "buzz" yet insufficient to make her actually 
drunk.  She seems intrigued by Shawn's suggestion, and she says to him with a 
smile, "A Vargr howl?  That sounds interesting...what is it exactly?"  She also 
glances towards April, trying to guage her reaction.

Shawn compliments her on her dancing and does not seem to have an ego
where his own lack of skill comes in. He's not competing, just having a
good time. He'll respond with more light conversation to do the same.

[PTGM: Do April and Ilane each have a key to their boarding house room, or are 
there two?]

April returns in short order. "Okay, we're all set.  Ilane is going with Shawn 
to the Vargr Howl. I'm sure whoever is going will see she gets back to the 
Mamma Kent's safely." She smiles and sits down next to him.

Before April left the group the first time, Kelly had told everyone 
about his role in the Second Cathey. The rest of what you know if what I 
posted ...general knowledge.

Kelly lead a mutiny aboard his ship when the Captain disobeyed orders 
and sent his ship careening straight at the Zeristu battle line. The 
Captain's "bold but foolhardy" maneuver succeeded in giving the CSA 
fleet a chance to destroy the Zeristu fleet, but it also caused the 
death of most of the crew.  The only reason the ship actually survived 
was Kelly and several experienced ratings taking control of the ship, 
but after the battle was over it was the officers, in particular the 
Lord Captain, that got the honors, medals, rewards. What Kelly got was a 
court martial for insubordination and mutiny.  The charges were 
eventually dropped when the Admiral of the fleet found out exactly what 
happened, but for the good of the service Kelly was given a dishonorable 
discharge.  Kelly is bitter about all of this and almost more than 
*anything* wants revenge on Lord Captain .

"Well, I think that we discussed most of the events this evening. The 
vid that Akus left, and the other stuff." He shakes his head. "Of 
course, the /Mae Lee/ was an awful mess when I first boarded. It took 
me a week to run down some of the gravtic faults that the idiots had 
caused."

She smiles, "Who were the idiots?  What is a typical day on a ship like? Yes 
I'm definitely intrigued by this little vid and data mystery. I guess I'll have 
to wait and see it myself." She turns right at the next intersection and 
continues walking at a leisurely pace.

need to drum up business, and I'm not sure that we can afford to be too

been carrying?  What about that asteroid base?  It's seems a waste to leave it 
unused and unguarded.  What about making it a refueling station? Does Sir Jac 
or his Aunt know of any old business contacts of Si Moby who would be 
interested in doing business with the inheritors and partners?" She shakes her 
head.  "I'm sorry just stop me if I ramble. I'm sure you all must have explored 
every possibility for drumming up business.  I don't really know anything about 
running a ship.  She takes another turn.

thoughts. "I always thought that descriptions of battles were more 
fiction than fact. Now, I know that many people actually understated

"How about arranging the room at Mamma's with me and then taking me for
