Lysia remembers inviting the two women she meet last night as well...but
she doesn't know exactly where they are this morning.

"Forgive me, Lysia, but I believe I was deferring so that I could join

"Vell, I've only been vaiting at de door vor a veek." Lysia chuckles for a moment.

"No, that's quite all right Doctor." Lysia releases the button then pushes it again, "You wouldn't happen to know where April, Ilane and Shawn are would you?"

"Thank you for understanding, Lysia," Mira says, "And the three of them

Whenever this is finished, Mira heads out to the common area (which I
thought she'd wandered in that direction ages ago).

Standing at the intersection of corridors, you see Woof talking to Jac
down the corridor toward the forward hatch, and Lysia in the galley.

Jac thinks a moment and then smiles and says, "I know *just* the thing!"

"Can you be ready to leave in 15 minutes?" he asks, "I need to visit my
tailor, Vivaldi, to pick up a new jacket, and I'll treat you to a new
frock at Che Serenia's. Then we will travel up river to Crystal Falls
for lunch, and take an excursion boat back down the river to Paulus

Mira raises an eyebrow appreciatively, "With that sort of incentive, I can
be ready in five minutes, but I'll take fifteen."

She grins and, with as much dignity as she can muster, races back to her
room to primp. She touches up her makeup and carefully adds her makeup kit
to her doctor's bag. She adds some simple, classic jewelry that will
compliment anything from a plain smock to the most elegant evening wear and
dons a dress that is attractive and easy to slip on and off in a dressing
room with some matching low heeled pumps.

A man that takes a woman shopping? Too choice.

She makes certain she's out in the galley roughly fifteen minutes later,
though it might not be to the dot.

Jac smiles at Mira's retreating form and then with a wink to Woof, he
races to *his* cabin to gather what he needs.

As Mira comes down the corridor she sees that Jac is waiting for her. He
has changed into dark slakes and a white shirt and tie under a jacket.
He smiles as he sees her coming.

"You look lovely!" he says and holds out his arm for her to take, "Are
you ready?"

He escorts Mira down the gangway. Mira sees that a driver is standing
next to a limousine at the foot of the gangway.

"I thought it might be nice if someone else did the driving today." Jac
says as the driver moves to the side of the limo.

"Good morning Sir Woodbridge...Sianna." the driver says as he opens the
back door of the limo for you.

Oh, my. What a delightfully pampered feeling, Mira thinks to herself.

"A lovely thought, Jac," She agrees.

"Good morning," Mira replies as she allows Jac to hand her into the
limousine. She settles into the plush interior and looks around. She
wonders how long it takes to take it for granted.

"And good morning to you, too, Kline." Jac says, "This is Doctor
Hasta-Rur. One of my partners aboard this ship. The most attractive
partner, if I do say so myself."

"Morning, Doctor Hasta-Rur." Kline tips his cap and nods as Mira steps
into the limo's interior.

Jac slides in beside her and says says quietly and with a twinkle in his
eye, "Kline is a family retainer. I don't get driven around like this
all the time either. I just thought it would be a nice change, and
well...if we don't give the servants something to do from time to time
they get bored."

He looks forward as Kline takes his seat and says, "Isn't that right,
Kline?"

Kline responds, "Yes, sir. Where would you like me to drive you and the
doctor, Sir?"

"My tailor's, and then Che Serenia's, if you please, Kline."

With a "yes, sir", Kline starts the limousine and drives away. The
drive carries you out of the Starport and through the busy traffic of
Startown. Soon you are on a broad roadway running through a broad
greenbelt of grass and trees that separates the Starport area from the
main city.

After the greenbelt, the car skirts the central city with its tall
buildings, palaces, government buildings and diplomatic compounds and
enters the older district of the city near the river.

"This is Andulusa." Jac says to Mira pointing out the window at
different things as you drive. "It's the old city. The university is
here, as is the Old Palace, Law Courts, and the Wishful Cathedral. Oh!
And if you look there..."

He points at a massive wall, "You can see part of the old city wall that
once circled the city."

Kline steers the limo through narrow streets filled with traffic, both
foot and vehicle finally stopping outside a row of three story stone
buildings. From the windows and signs this is an area of small shops.

The drive takes about 40 minutes.

"Ah! Here we are! Thank you Kline. I will comm you when we are ready for
you to pick us up." Jac says as he opens the door and steps out to the
sidewalk and holds the door for Mira.

He escorts you into one of the small shops. There is a real bell that
rings when he opens the door and causes a small bald man to come forward
from a backroom. The shop smells of leather and wax and something else
that Mira vaguely remembers, but can't place.

"Oh, it is Sir Woodbridge!" says the shopkeeper smiling and stepping
forward to shake both of Jac's hands. The shopkeeper is wearing pants
and a white shirt, with rolled up sleeves, and has a cloth tape measure
draped around his neck.

"Vivaldi!" Jac says and shakes with the small man. The grasp each
other's forearms and shake both up and down. It is a greeting that Mira
is not familiar with, "I have come for my new jacket. Do say you have it
ready for me?"

Turning to Mira he says, "Oh, forgive me! Doctor Hasta-Rur, this is
Johann Vivaldi, master tailor, and my old friend. Vivaldi, this is Mira
Hasta-Rur, doctor of medicine and my very new friend."

As Lysia heads out the door she hears this and stops, "Che Serenia, oh my
there's a name I had not thought about in a very long time. I think I know
where I'll be making a stop on the way back from Morg's.

"Have fun you two," she says waving goodbye to Mira and Jac.

"You two," she points at Woof and Kelly, "try not to get arrested at the
game."

With that she vanishes out the door and heads down to her waiting car.

Lysia surveys the weather as she crosses the tarmac, *It will,* she thinks,
*be a glorious day for a drive.*

Lysia keys the com one last time while struggling to pull a data pad out of her handbag. "Thank you."

She taps the touch pad carefully and starts looking to download the data on Mama Kent's boarding haus.

Once she's got the information she places a quick call to the front desk at Mama Kent's.

Lysia looks at the wall com, then at Mira then back at the wall com. "It's amazing you sound just like this woman I was talking to on the speaker thingie."

She finishes downloading the Mama Kent information into her data pad, "Really quite remarkable."

"You have fun, don't let Mazie turn you into one of her public service drones and remember to look both ways before you cross the street."

Lysia stands up, straightens out her skirt and jacket. "Flamethrower, thermal detonator, plasma rifle." Lysia grins, "Right all set, wish me luck."

She pulls a small set of thin lensed purple glasses out of an inside pocket of her jacket and puts them on.

"Give my best to Mazie Jac," she gives him a quick kiss on the cheek before looking at Woof, "Nice look Wolfgang, suits you."

Jac squeezes her arm and says, "And don't you let your damnable
sister intimidate you, dear heart. I'd go with you, if you were
sure you'd get me back in time for my appointment with my dear aunt."

Jac laughs, "You have plenty of options Kelly. You can go with
Lysia to visit her sister this morning, with Woof to the football
game this afternoon, with Mira and myself for tea with my aunt,
or...well, you have a 3 day pass. So, you could head for a
vacation resort...skiing up north, sun and swimming to the south.
Or perhaps take a suite at a five star hotel to rest and relax
beside the pool during the day and gamble in the casinos all
night. Or if you like the outdoor life there is an Imperial Park
just southwest of here with boating, rock climbing, hiking and
that sort of thing. Lots of options.

"The Imperial park sounds like a good place to go. Thanks, Jac."

TGM: After breakfast, Kelly will call the park information office and
get the particulars. Two or three days of R&R...

Kelly shakes his head. "At the risk of being told *why* I always left
out, I'll pass this time. I could use some time groundside to think."

You discover that you can camp, hike and boat through the park without
needing a reservation, and the impact fee is only 10 marks per day to
pay for the park's upkeep. You can take the monorail from the city out
to the edge of the park (an hour's ride), rent any camping equipment you
need there and hike into the park. You could be inside the wilderness by
lunch time.

Kelly makes the necessary arrangements for a two-day hike in the
wilderness. He turns to the galley at large. "I'm planning to commune
with nature for a couple of days. Of course," he taps his comm, "I will
have my tether with me." That said, he makes preparations - to include
a body pistol and some extra mags - and takes his leave.

"No plan ever survives contact with the enemy, heck most of them don't even survive contact with reality."

Lysia taps her phone, hangs up and redials Mama Kent's.

997.272.0900: Lysia's Homecoming

Lysia gives Jac a smile after his little speach about her sister, which convently is on the computer at home so I can't quote it.

"Jac, you know me I'm always delicate and tactful," a little grin crosses her lips, "besides I've spent three years on Sequi learning to become a better person and block out the little voice in my head..."

Lysia stops and looks over at a point just over Jac's right shoulder, "Yes yes I know, can we talk about this later? Now is a particularly bad time."

She looks back at Jac, "So I think for once in my life I'm finally ready to have a little chat with my older sister. After all, sooner or later we all have to confront our own personal demons. Mine just happens to have my face."
