The search continues...until about 0945...

April is taking the cover off of an electrical outlet in the 
bathroom when she notices that Arvitis has stopped humming.  He 
is running his wand over the same area of bathroom wall going 
back and forth at different angles and making adjustments to the 
controls of the portable denso on each pass.

The big man continues what he is doing and without looking down 
at April says, "Yes, there is *something* behind these tiles 
right here. There is a void where there shouldn't be and 
something is in that void. It's very fuzzy. I can't get a good 
reading on it...less dense than the ceramics and metal around it, 
but more than the void it is in...at some angles, it's like it 
isn't there, and at others it shows up clearly...

April's and Arvitis' conversation.

and from the color you'd say the age of the grout around this

It is the Akus' room. When you all compare locations you see that 
there is a mirror mounted on the wall in front of where Arvitis 
says he found a "void."

with an end being opened or some other adjustment, he will do so. If not, he
will look for the best way that this might open and do so carefully.

The mirror is attached to the wall with what look like four screws. The 
screws are covered with some sort of plastic caps and go through the 
four corners of the mirror.

The cover pops out.  When you look at the screw head, it is a standard 
cross (phillips) head. You shouldn't have a problem removing it.

"Hold on for just one moment. It might have something attached to it."

Shawn will pull the corner away from the wall and see if he can see
anything. If all looks clear, he will hold the mirror for Ilane to finish
unscrewing. If it won't come out far enough, he will hold it and look after
she gets the second screw off on that side.

When the mirror is unattached, he will slowly pull it away from the wall so
as to make sure it isn't booby trapped.

Shawn can't pull the corner up for than a fraction of an inch and
peering into the darkness behind the mirror reveals nothing.

OOC: It might be a little late if the screws were booby trapped,
or there was a pressure plate behind that mirror......but
luckily for you...

The mirror moves away from the wall showing a darker shade of
wallpaper on the wall where the mirror had been, indicating that
the mirror had been there for a long time and the wallpaper's
colors haven't faded behind it.

still holding the screwdriver in her hand. Arvitis is on the

All three of you can see that there is a small slit in the
wallpaper just under 2 meters high on the wall, and the paper is 
dimpled inward around the slit. It looks like there might be a 
small hole behind that slit.

Holding it up so everyone can see it clearly...

It *is* a card key with a thin metal strip on it...probably what was 
confusing Arvitis' sensors...and some writing.  The writing is repeated 
on both sides and consists of two lines. Four large block characters, 
with a string of 25 smaller block characters in irregular groups below

that put that key back there goes looking for it, of course.

Artivis comes out and looks at the key, "It's not Zeristu, 
Argent, Mark...it's sort of reminds me of a vargr script, but 
it's not one I recognize."

No one can place it, but there is a superficial similarity in the 
the script shapes to the vargr script shapes you saw on Sequi.

Sequi, if I recall correctly."

It looks very much like a key to a locker that would be rented at 
some station. It could be train, bus, monorail, starport...you 
don't know, but the technology behind it pegs it at at least TL 8.
