"Doctor Mira, it is a pleasure." he bows to you.

"And yes, Sir J, you're jacket is ready for you. I finished it last week 
and it has been pining for you every since." Vivaldi says, "Give me a 
moment and I will fetch 'er for you."

With another bow the small man hustles toward the backroom calling 
"Anton! Anton! Sir J is here for his jacket."

He returns in a flash holding a jacket over his arms followed by a thin 
young man.

"Sir Jac coat, Anton, help him, yes?"

Jac is soon wearing the new jacket and modeling it in front of a floor 
length mirror.  The jacket is dark blue with a very light pattern of 
white lines making checks on it. The material looks smooth and 
expensive. There are three white buttons on the front and each arm, but 
they aren't functional, purely for appearance as the jacket closes with 
a velcro strip.

Jac smiles and says, "Nice! Just what I wanted. Now, do you have the 
white boater I asked you to acquire for me?"

"Why, thank you!" Jac grins, "And, if I say so, I think so myself."

He plops the boater on his head at a jaunty angle and gives Mira another 
grin.

Jac tells the tailor how much he likes the jacket and hat, and after the 
jacket he was wearing is wrapped and boxed, and the shopkeeper paid, the 
couple leave the shop and Jac escorts Mira down the street to another shop.

"And how it's your turn, Mira." he says as he opens the door to Che 
Serenia's.

"Oh, I'm *sure* you do." Jac smiles, "And even if you don't, 
Serenia will tell you do as she puts you into something really 
attractive."

A tall slender woman of early middle age is approaching you as 
you and Jac stand just inside the shop.

Jac looks at her and adds grinning, "And something really 
expensive, too. Good Morning, Sian Serenia. I would like to 
introduce you to Sianna Doctor Mira, Hasta-Rur."

The woman smiles and holds out her hand to you, "A pleasure to 
meet you Sianna Hasta-Rur."

Jac continues, "And Mira, may I introduce you to Sian Serenia 
Eggert...the second, no, now the *third* most attractive woman on 
all of Mark."

Mira is swept away to a dressing room by Sian Serenia where she is 
measured and clucked over by Serenia and two of her assistants. Mira 
tries several outfits before everyone is satisfied enough to even let 
her wear it out to model for Jac. Jac tells Mira she looks lovely, 
wonderful, beautiful as she models outfit after outfit, but when she 
sees his eye's dilate as she is modeling a simple black dress with red 
edging she knows he *really* means it this time.

Eventually, Mira picks an outfit, complete with accessories, and rejoins 
Jac who signs for it, thanking Sian Serenia for her help.

Jac escorts Mira from the shop. They find their limo is waiting for them 
out front.

The drive to the monorail terminal doesn't take long and so the pair 
find themselves aboard a private car whizzing north at high speed.

"Oh, do listen to him!" Mira exclaims, "He'll turn my head with talk like 
that."

"Sian Serenia, it is a pleasure to meet you," She says her attention fixed 
on the woman for the duration of the words. Then they sweep the shop.

"You should find I'm a size 4 petite in virtually anything, but a few 
select designers seem determined to run everything small.

She begins to move through the shop with a practiced sweep that gives lie 
to her ever possibly being uncomfortable with the elegance of the shop or 
the cost of its contents. She taps several racks as she moves saying 
'color', 'style' or 'this one' as she moves.

Jac can scarcely refrain from whistling when he sees her, and the effort 
leaves virtual steam coming from his ears.

Jac leans in and pats her hand saying, "My dear, I enjoyed pampering 
you, but I don't think you'd like it as a *daily* affair. Would you?"

The monorail makes a few stops as it makes it's way north into hilly 
almost mountainous country, before Jac says to Mira. The next stop is ours.

The monorail stops smoothly at a small station. Jac takes Mira's arm and 
escorts her from the train.

The first thing Mira notices is that the air here is much cooler, 
thinner, drier. The train pulls away from the station continuing it's 
northerly route, allowing Mira to see beyond the monorail. The scene is 
breathtaking...a high waterfall shining in the sunlight falling into the 
foam of a pool below. The waterfall appears to be about 1 kilometer away 
across a valley from the station. A small village is clustered around 
the river below the waterfall.  What looks like a chain of silver beads 
appear to be following a their thread from the village below to the top 
of the falls, and then sliding back down.

Jac says, "We can take a cab down to the village and then the grav way 
up to Crystal Falls."

She gives him a look that says 'touche', and says frankly, "No. No, I 
wouldn't. Or I probably would have taken one of those lucrative offers, a 
professional or personal one. My heart would never have been in it."

She looks up at him, "Wow."

She doesn't seem to think any further commentary is necessary and her gaze 
drags away to the view and she drinks it in as he leads her to the cab.

"This was what I meant, exactly. I'd never have discovered this. Thank you."
