OOC: (a) was allowing you to express any drama into reading the note, if you so wanted, (b) after giving you a few days to reply was busy elsewhere and (c) didn't do much posting anywhere. ;-p Woof unfolds the note, holding it between his hands so only he can see what he is doing. When the barmaid returns with his drink and bowl of peanuts, Woof covers the note with his hand as he smiles and thanks her. Then positioning the beer mug and bowl to block the view from others he spreads the note out and looks at it. The note is handwritten in pen. It looks hurried and Woof can tell that the hand that wrote it was either shaky or it was written on a shaky surface. Woof has seen Lessa's writing only a few times, but to his eye it looks like her's, and the signature at the bottom confirms his thought by being signed..."Lessa." Woof reads... Woof, I'm innocent. I didn't kill Jim or plant that bomb. I swear! I won't blame you if you just tear this note up, but don't know who else to turn to. I need your help. If you'll even consider helping me, meeting with me, go to midnight mass at the Church of the Holy Redeemer on Hawkins Street. Please, don't desert me, please! Lessa

He'll probably have the bar call a cab for him so he doesn't use his comm, then have it wait at the church while he goes in... If she's not been followed, he could probably get her to the port and aboard the Mae Lee... He drinks the beer, but he doesn't guzzle it. Doesn't want a buzz going if he's got to be thinking... He watches the vid if its on... Woof

There is music coming from a jukebox and a few couples are dancing, but most people are in groups talking. There is a lot of loud talk and laughter here...servicemen and women unwinding...but the feel of the place is good. Woof watches the servers interacting with the patrons and thinks to himself that they *know* what they are doing. There is an art of managing people in a bar and it looks like they have it here, doesn't expect any nastyness or trouble to break out here. He can sit back and relax, think, for a while before deciding what to do. Eris AKU GM

When the cab arrives, have the driver drive me to the church... For god's sake get me to the church on time! If its a bit early, have him wait while Woof goes in to attend mass. Don't use my comm... Go in, genuflect or whatever is the correct way to do it, and take a seat near the rear, where I can watch the goings on. Woof

There are very few people in the church when Woof arrives and only a few more arrive after he does. Woof looks around. This is a large church, and old one. The central nave is lighted and that is where the few worshipers who are here are sitting. To both sides there are darkened sections. Up at the front of the church a priest begins the service. A few minutes after the mass has begun, Woof notices movement to his left in the darkened aisle. The movement stops, then after a few seconds, more Woof sees the shape of what appears to be a woman move out from behind a column. He can't see clearly who it is, but it looks like she beckons him with her hand before stepping back behind the column. Eris AKU GM
