OOC: It should take roughly an hour to get back.

The trip back to the ship in Lysia's land cruiser takes a full hour,
even at the breadneck speed that she drives it , so you pull into the
parking lot at the Starport at just after 0800. The walk over to the
/Mae Lee/ takes only a few minutes, arriving at the hatch at 0810.

[PTGM: Could Lysia have dropped off Ilane (and Shawn, if he wants) at her van
instead to save time? She *really* wants to get that stuff unloaded. :)]

Yes of course, just ask her and let her do it, then you still all arrive
at about 0810.

At some point during the trip back, Ilane asks, "Lysia? Would it be okay if
you dropped me off at Mama Kent's so that I can get my van?" After Lysia
answers, the ex-dancer turns to Shawn. "Would you like to come with me Shawn,
or would rather meet me at the ship?"

[PTGM: How close can Ilane park the van to the Mae Lee?]

With Shawn along, showing his id, she can drive it right up to the
ship. Lysia can drive her car right up to the ship too if she wants to,
of leave it parked in the Starport's parking lot.

Right up to the ship, we've got a trunk load of goodies of course.

"Not a problem," Lysia says hanging a hard left in front of an on coming
lorry, "anything for a friend."

She guns the motor and the large convertable launches down a side street at
a furious pace.

April will hang with Lysia and help unload the Van when they get to the ship.
She'll make sure she puts her guitar and amp in a safe place, since its still
in the van with the other things. ;) She'll ask where she can safely stow her
instrument until they finalize accomodation arrangements for the herself and
Ilane.

Lysia stops outside Mama Kent's and pauses for a minute while Ilane and
Shawn get into the van and start it up. They follow her to the Star port.

Lysia drives the car...Right up to the ship, saying "we've got a trunk
load of goodies."...she parks it beside the open forward cargo hatch.

Ilane follows her and parks the van next to the car.

This is the first look Ilane and April have really had of the ship. It
is very large, much larger than they expected, the size of a four story
building with a blocky rounded nose and stubby wings sticking out from
the sides. The nose hatch is open, dropped down to the ground like a
gaping mouth exposing the dark interior of the cargo hold. Over all, it
looks to be in pretty good condition, but there are visible scars on the
surface where the paint doesn't *quite* match. It's ugly and beautiful
both at the same time.

There is a vargr in a coverall standing inside the cargo hold. It looks
like he is mopping the deck. He looks up as the two vehicles draw up
outside and waves. Lysia and Shawn recognizes him as Ukanav, April and
Ilane haven't met him yet so they don't know him.

The vargr walks forward carrying mop in one hand and a bucket in the
other. He calls out, "Good morning Boss Jez, Si Smith!"

Ukanav looks at Shawn, then Jez and then Ilane and says, "I will help you."

The vargr will help you move everything from your van to the cargo hold

Lysia leans over to April, "It's ugly in the kind of way only and engineer or a mother could truely love. Typical Zeristru design asthetics, substance over style."

Lysia grin and switches to vargr withought a thought, "Good morning Ukanav, how are you doing on this glorious morning? The air smells wonderfully fresh today does it not?"

She continues on in Vargr, "Ukanav I'd like to introduce you to April and Ilane, they're going to be staying with us and I'd say they know a fair amount more about starships than we do. Of course everyone knows more about starships than me."

Lysia chuckles a second and heads around to the trunk, she switchs quickly back to anglic, "April, Ilane, this is Ukanav. He's a good man and smart as a whip."

"Ugly and cramped, it's like living on a Zeristru transport. It just doesn't have all the guns and smell like sweat."

The vargr flashes sharp canine teeth at you in a wide grin and lay his
mobile ears back against his skull. He makes a low growling sound in the
back of his throat. For a second, you think he's about to attack you,
but then he steps back and breaks out into barking laughter.

"Boss Jez is playing with you Ilane Lanik." he says between barking
laughs, "Showing teeth to a vargr like you did is a challenge, not a
show of friendlies, but come from Sequi and I know you humans don't have
the same language as people, so I know you don't really mean it."

"I hope you don't mind me joking with you, Ilane Lanik." Ukanav says, "I
shouldn't do that with a stranger."

Holy sh*t! Ilane's eyes get *really* big, and she backs up a step or two.

She lets out a relieved exhale. "That's good..."

> "I hope you don't mind me joking with you, Ilane Lanik." Ukanav says, "I
> shouldn't do that with a stranger."

The belter's daughter smiles, but *definitely* with no teeth this time. "No,
it's okay, Ukanav. You just really had me *going* for a minute there!"

[OOC: Poor Ilane. She's so naive sometimes. ;-)]

Ilane appears to be a little embarassed behind her smile, but she seems willing
to be a good sport about it.

"No, definitely not, Lysia." Her "no teeth" grin turns playful. "As for
paying you back...we'll see."

much less than you." She winks at Lysia.

Ukanav jerks his head up in a brief nod and sniffs, "It
smells of chemicals and sea salt out here. It is good to be out
here."

He adds, "It smells of tension inside. There is trouble
afoot, but I wasn't told what it is. I can smell it though."

Ukanav chuckles deep in his throat and gives Jez a smile,
"You know people, and humans, that's more important than
knowing machines."

"Boss...er, Sianna David is a good pack leader and a good
hunter." Ukanav says, his narrow short tail wagging slightly
behind him, "I was in her pack on Sequi, we hunted for many
months together. I still hunt with her pack."
