Kelly looks at her. "Is it really cheaper to make our own ammo than to
just buy it?"

OOC: Short run, no. Long run, yes. Especially, if you are afraid you
might need ammo that isn't available in your travels (remember this
isn't the Imperium where there are widespread standards. Every world, or
pocket empire, likely has their own standards...say you need 6x45mm and
all that this system makes are 5.57x48.

OOG: Oh, I see now... :-)

Lysia looks up from her list at Kelly, "It really depends on what we're
buying and what we're loading. We can probably load vanilla ball and dart
here cheeper than we can on world, if we can get the molds for the dart.
Exotic loads like full steel jackets, explosive and tranq I'd imagine are
going to be so labour intensive that they'll probably be easier to buy
locally. Hollow point rounds that go in one side and don't come out are
going to be easy for us to make."

"I'm not sure we've got the where-with-all to build really exotic stuff like
PET rounds, I think they're called ETC here. Much better round over all but
far far more sophisticated."

She stops and looks at Kelly, "I really know to much about bullet's don't
I?"

TGM - Are the 10mm snubs caseless or cased? Same goes for the shotguns.

The 10mm snub rounds are caseless. Most pistol and rifle rounds are at
TL 9+. The shotgun shells are cased, although the casing is a moldable
plastic with a HE propellant rather than gunpowder.

The engineer grins. "Me, either. I always left that to the groundhogs."
