"What's Jac and Mira got to do with it? I'm talking about Lessa," Woof says,

Cory's going on about. We're trying to figure out how to save a girl's life and

Mira nods, she swivels and looks at Cory, "Do try to behave. Its not polite
to make comments like you did about other people.:

She gets up and primly straightens her attire before crossing to take her
seat again with an apologetic smile to Jac.

Jac's expression remains neutral, but he gives Mira the barest of a nod
before turning back to the others. It looks like he is being completely
business at the moment.

In his profile Mira can see more than a hint of his Aunt. If Mazie was
able to cold bloodedly kill a man with a knitting needle aboard a
passenger liner and get away with it unsuspected by the authorities, and
Mira suspects she did just that, then Jac may be capable of things she
hadn't imagined until now.

Jac calls after April, "Please, remain. We have serious business to deal
with here and could use your assistance."

To the others he says, "Si Shultz is correct. This is about Lessa's
daughter, and the conspiracy against..."

He pauses and then says, "The conspiracy of murderers and kidnappers
that she faces. Anyone that doesn't take this seriously and is
unwilling to provide *serious* help really should just stay out of it.
We don't have the time to deal with extraneous emotions right now."

He looks at Mira, Kelly, Woof, and then Cory adding, "After this is
settled there will be time to remember other matters that need resolution."

He turns back to Ricardo, "Captain, do you have orders for us?"

"Well at least wait till jump to resolve. That way you won't waist my time."

"And no, it's not time for a decision yet. We don't know if we've eliminated
the other ships already. Not to mention using a badge is always a dumb idea
if there are others. Faking a badge gets you in jail for sure when caught;
simple bribery you may can get off with a fine."

Cory goes back to studying the starport map.

Cory sees that the starport map on the screen does show the direction
ships will be parked when they board passengers, and it also has each
slot labeled. He is sure that if he had a list of which ships were
parked where he could use it to determine whether the ships under
consideration were parked in the proper orientation or not.

OOC: That last sentence seems a little tortured, but I think you can get
my meaning. Oh, and *Cory* does not have that list in his hands at
the moment.

April turns and gives Jacarter an expressionless nod. She then returns to her
seat and waits, thinking to herself, "What the hell have I gotten myself into
here?"

Kelly mops up the mess he made and pours more coffee. He looks
apologetically at Mira, then he leaves the compartment and looks for
April.

Kelly halts and turns to face Jac. His shoulders straighten and you see
a little color in his face as he attends to the Captain's orders.

OOG: now, would I do that to you? :-P

"And Mira in the future you don't need to do that. They'll only hit me until
their arms get tired. Maybe by then they could offer some useful advise."

"Come and help out anytime Kelly. I always like your advise."

After waiting to see how pummeled he is going to end up or if he's still in
condition to get up. Cory decides Arvitis has had enough time to get the map
downloaded so he pulls it up. He checks carefully to see if east facing will
eliminate any of the suspect ships.

OOC: If Cory had the slot numbers assigned to the suspect ships, yes he
could use it for something like that. Somebody has that list in their
hand, but that somebody isn't Cory.

Woof is the one that acquired that list, and he still has it in his hands.

OOC: If Greg doesn't answer I sometime today I will.
