Back in Engineering, Kelly begins working on the after-jump checklist

OOC: Was this the system the /Santiago/ jumped too? Without a transponder, it is too far out to be seen from in system?

Shawn ploted a course to the ship and estimated time to arrival if they went that way.

OOC: Yes, the /Santiago/ would have passed through this system, but it
disappeared before having arrived here. It was to jump to Sequi first
then Serbia, and it disappeared on the Mark to Sequi jump. Also, yes,
without a transponder, or a very lucky/unlucky accident this object
could float out here for years without being spotted...pass right
through the system and out into deep space where it might be centuries
before it even got this close to the main planet in Serbia again.

> Shawn ploted a course to the ship and estimated time to arrival if

Arvitis says, "From the return on its surface, I'd say it has to be a
ship...a small one, 100 to 200 tons, and I'm picking up an IR return
that is about 2 degrees above background, so there is probably some
residual power there, too. It's on a vector that takes it across the
system and back out into the deep."

You can pull up along side in 30 seconds, yes it is *that* close, but
you'll also have to match its real vector if you want to dock with or
board it and that will take about 40 minutes of burning the HEPlaR engines.

Woof bounds for wherever Lessa is, unless they are together (I don't remember if he's a gunner too...). He hands her a rescue ball. "Here, stand hold onto this. I don't know if you'll need it, but I need to get suited!"

[Actually, I'm betting Woof *is* suited, what with jumping and no PAX, but this is good too]

Woof goes to get into his suit, then stands by.

April, who was shown how by Ilane recently and only actually performed
this act a couple of time, puts on her vacc suit as quickly as she can,
taking care not to make any mistakes with the connections and seals.
This is the first time she's had to do it with this in an emergency with
alarms blaring...and she *feels* slow and awkward...but she does get the
suit on and straps back in.

OOC: That would be a vacc suit. Didn't Ilane and April buy their
own vacc suits at McCalls before going out to explore the asteroid base
a few days (months real time ) ago? Or did they rent them, and intend
to buy their own later...if so, they never *did*.

Those on the Bridge can see lights for all three drives blink active as
Kelly brings them up. You currently have 80% power and rising. Ricardo

As Kelly runs down the after-jump checklist he is pleased with how
smoothly everything is working in Engineering. During jump the ship's
boat was repaired...again...and a good start at doing maintenance on all
the ship systems was made, especially now that he had some help. Ilane
was a fast learner, and already a wizard at gravitics.
