OOG - Sorry been really busy lately. "You two have fun I'll find something to do that's not going to get all of us arrested," she thinks a moment, "or at least you two arrested." She walks slowly in front of all of the shops scoping them out from the outside looking inside the Pichi Hall she prays it has nothing to do with red and black balls with a black stripe and little diamond logo's on them. Looking in the window you see groups or 3 to 5 people seated at tables facing a large screen with colored numbers on it at the other end of the room. A man is spinning a large wheel and each time the wheel stops another colored number is added to those already on the screen. The people at the tables tap at something in front of them on the tables with some sort of stylus after each number appears. You can see that as each number appears on the screen another number, you think it might be a number of credits, goes down a little. Eris AKU GM

It is a large metal wheel with numbers ranging from 00 to 99 around its rim. The numbers light up as the wheel is spun in red, blue or green in what appears to be a random pattern. When the wheel stops all the lights go out except for the one number at the top of the wheel. This is the number the man is calling out and writing on a dry erase board. > Lysia comes in and observes the game trying to figure out the rules on her > own before having to ask someone. Lysia, once inside, sees that each of the people seated at the tables is making marks on a piece of paper in front of them. The paper is covered with a grid of numbers, also in a random pattern of red, green and blue, and the players appear to be putting black marks on any gridded number of the correct color that is called out. That seems fairly straight forward to Lysia, but there are clearly some sort of "side bets" going on as some of the players place coins into the middle of the table on one of three colored pads. After the number and color are called out, the "winning" color collects the coins from the other pads and all the coins are divided among those that placed their coin on the winning color. While Lysia watches, she sees a woman approaching her. The woman is holding several of the sheets of multicolored paper in one hand. She says to Lysia, "Two creds a card, three for five. Coins, five a cred if you wanna pichi." Eris AKU GM

After watching for a few more minutes to the point were she figures she's got a good handle on the game Lysia sets herself a limit of fifty credits to lose, her mother always taught her to be frugal when it comes to games of chance, and jumps into the game with three tickets. Lysia picks a table and sits down. There are a list of colored numbers on the board and she finds a few of them on her cards, so she marks them. It looks like the object is to make a straight line from one side to another and each time a number and color is called the amount to be won decreases. The side bets, the pichi, are for what color will come up next with those that participate at each table putting the coins on the colors of their choice and the winner splitting all coins on the losing colors. Not long after Lysia starts playing a woman jumps up from one of the tables and screams, "Mucho Pichi!" and jumps up and down while she waves her card. There is a smattering of applause from around the room as well as a few groans as everyone shoves their cards into a slot in the center of the table and ponies up more money as people move around the room selling more of the cards. While this is going on, one of the people at Lysia's table, an older man, looks at her and says, "Having seen you recently? I heard you were taking a long vacation on Montrose, Maria." Eris AKU GM

OOC: No, Maria means nothing to you, and you've never been to Montrose. From what you've heard Montrose, it is a significant power to coreward of Mark, the center of an expanding empire...or Federation, depending on who you talk to and you know that several 'fads' have come to Mark from Montrose. Lysia sticks her pocket towards the officer, she grins a little clearly not in the least bit perturbed by their actions, "I know how this part works dear. One of you gets to pull that out because if I do I risk having one of you shot me and I've already been down that road and didn't much like it the first time." She holds her hands up so they can see both of them. Lysia David

The policeman takes the comm from Lysia's pocket and puts it to his ear, "Disconnected." He puts the comm into his pocket and says as he cuffs Lysia, "I don't suppose you have a confederate who was trying to warn you that we were on to you do you Maria?" The police lead Lysia out and put her into the back of a ground vehicle. The there is a metal mesh separating the front seats from the rear section and there are no handles on the inside doors in the back. Lysia is left in the backseat while the police talk among themselves and to someone from the gambling den. Eris AKU GM

Lysia waits patiently for one of the officers to get into the car with her, "I realize that legally I don't have much recourse against you officers for preforming your duty and that you're probably protected under some sort of a police act which guaranties you protection under due diligance clauses and such but wrongfull arrest is a pretty serious legal issue." Lysia's hands move about as she talks. She leans back in the seat, "I have to admit I'm rather curious to see what this Maria woman looks like the resemblance must be striking because you're not the first people to say I look like her."

"You're going to keep up the pretense, then?" the policeman says and shrugs. Before he turns back to the front he says, "To humor you, we'll run your fingerprints and dna once we get to the station." The car takes you away from the gambling hall. As you drive down the street you think you see the van that Jac had rented driving away down a side street. Once at the police station you are subjected to more of this Maria Virgy nonsense. The officers all seem completely sure that you are this con woman, and you can tell that she is high on their "wanted" list...ripped off a local big fish, probably. Lysia is searched, not roughly, fingerprinted and a sample of her DNA is taken, her possessions are taken and she is placed in a holding cell by herself. Time drags on. It is nearing sun down and still no one has come to release her...or even question her. Eris AKU GM

Lysia listens intently as the local constabulary chats about her before interupting them politely. "Excuse me," she says clearing her throat and smiling a little, "humor me here for a moment and pretend for just a moment that I'm not Miria Virgy and don't know what this is all about. What exactly am I wanted for and can I see a picture of myself?" > Lysia is searched, not roughly, fingerprinted and a sample of her > DNA is taken, her possessions are taken and she is placed in a holding > cell by herself. Lysia looks at the wall for a while trying to decide what colour it would look best painted, once the amusment of mentally redecorating the cell begins to wear of she gets up and looks down the hall for a guard. If she can't see one she raises her voice. "Hello? Getting hungry here and a potty break would be nice." Lysia J. David PS - Sorry I'm so tardy responding I just haven't felt like even opening my email for like a month I sort of look at button to open it and think, nah not right now and before I know it another few days have flown past.

Lysia frowns seeing that there's clearly no one down here, "Excuse me," she says in a loud voice, "don't I even get one phone call?" Lysia David
