I will be--its been a fun-filled week, if you've gotten any of my "mailchat" commentaries.
[OOC: I'll try to get to this thread tomorrow while I'm at work. I've got about three hours of actual work left to do until Wednesday, so I think I'll devote most of tomorrow's work time to gaming instead. ;-)] On 4/19/07, Eris Reddochwrote: > > "Sharda, after you get back, begin to see what we can get > > as far as speculative cargo, either for our next stop or > > the one after. Have you noticed > the lack of blue at Callia on the map for instance or the > insidious atmosphere listed for Egypt? OOG: Yes, thank you--I had noticed, hand't taken action. Its been, well, life has overrun us here, and my imagination and writing talents have been crappy at best. IG: As Paris sits back down, she pulls up, on her PDA, the most recent data for all their stops, in order...including TL, most recent sales information as well as luxury goods for the crew...

"I'll look into it as soon as possible", she says. [OOC: Well, let's see. Overnale is an agricultural world and both Egypt and Callia would probably have to import a lot of their food because of the harsh local conditions...which would make them a good place to sell agro products from Overnale. Also, all *three* are non-Industrial, which means they would benefit from industrial products from worlds such as Glisten. However, Overnale is a balkanized world with a relatively high law level, so this may indicate some heated conflicts between the various local governments. Probably, the best way to approach this would be to trade either with one of the governments that is currently *not* involved in any local wars or just arbitrarily trade with whichever polity is both most favorably inclined towards the Imperium and is *large* enough to assure relatively safe passage through their air/aerospace. In addition, if there are any active local conflicts, a market would unfortuately be created for additional medical supplies. Weapons would be another possiblity, but, given the thorny regulations that probably exist concerning weapons trading and her distaste with conflict/chaos in general, Sharda would not be inclined to seek out any weapons deals. Local conflicts on Overnale may also be creating additional pax traffic from there to, well, anywhere that's *not* there. All three planets also have tech levels that are much lower than Glisten, which means that even second-tier, lower-tech industrial products from Glisten would sell well there. Given this final disparity, I think we'd have an even greater chance to buy low at Glisten and sell high to either Overnale, Egypt or Callia.] As soon as she gets an opportunity to do so, Sharda will look for possible trading deals based on the above parameters.
