Website Updated...

http://mypbem.com/akus/akusreset/index.htm

Added some information about the:

1. background
2. mission
3. starmaps

...more to come. Over time I will be adding links (to the
systems in the image files) for all the systems along the
Wonstar arm (the jump one main from Glisten to Wonstar) that
contain library and trade information, but that is going to
take time. I will also be adding a library section. I *might*
set up a wiki page for Akusreset, as well, where *you* can
enter and update information as you learn it, keep notes and
do other things...I'll just have to see how hard it is to set
it up and keep it private to just us.

Please, check the links I've got up so far. Comments will be
appreciated.

Looks good Eris.

Does anyone know what rooms we're in? Bart knows he's not in sickbay or on the
passenger deck. And I'm pretty sure he's not in c5 or c6 because he was told
he went the wrong way.

Should I think of the ship set up like a ship from our time or more like Star
Trek. As in are there cubbyholes, shelves, hangers, and closets with various
types of retainers (sliding doors, nets, rods) or is it sleek plastic and
metal with recessed fixtures.

I can't get there from here--but I'm pretty sure he's in the first room off the access--think its "1" or something right there.

It can be considered to be most inconvenient when workers allow ethics to interfere with the smooth operation of any organization.

You mean like http://www.phoenyx.net/twiki/bin/view/Akus/WebHome ?

Other than it's not private right now, but TWiki does allow that (either
public read/private write, or fully private, though for the lurkers' sake
I discourage the latter).

I also have the newest TWiki version set up over on the new server, and
the Celandra people are testing it out. You can replace "www" with "test"
to get there, though I haven't brought the Akus web over yet. And it's
still wearing all the default skins, but that can be changed (per-web,
even).

Well, yeah...like that. :)

It doesn't have to be fully private, but if possible it would
be best if only the players and I could make and edit pages.
No can't see a problem with the public reading the pages.

The problem is, though, that I have no idea what my
username/password is...sorry...and I figure that if *I* don't
know then my players don't know theirs either. :)

Heh. Somewhere there's a password-reset option. There's the standard
TWiki one here:

http://www.phoenyx.net/twiki/bin/view/TWiki/ResetPassword

which requires mod intervention, and there's one we've written that will
mail the new password to you, but the links fell off on the last one in
the last upgrade (um, September 2005?) and I'll have to track that down.

Karen, I *found* my lost password and am able to edit the wiki now.
Sorry to be a bother. :) And thanks for setting one up for us!

Folks, if you haven't yet done so, I strongly suggest that you go to
http://www.phoenyx.net/twiki/bin/view/Akus/AkusReset and look around. A
wiki is a collaborative program where the members of a group can add and
edit information while on line. It will be perfect for the "Ship's log",
PC journals, notes you can use to remind yourselves of details, and a
central repository for links to more information. I want us to really
*use* the wiki, so bookmark it (or http://mypbem.com where you can
follow links to it). You will need to register in order to add, or
edit, pages, and if we run into problems with non-players "fritzing"
around with the stuff we put there maybe Karen can make us a "user
group" and limit create/edit permissions to just us...but I don't think
we should bother her unless it becomes a problem.

a bar...or aboard ship...or something. :)

Gee, I would have thought the parrot on her shoulder gave her away...:-P

This is neat, I was able to fix mine by replacing the broken link to
the sword image with an even cooler one.
