I'm still not sure what I was doing wrong
Probably nothing... I think when I merged the old account and new one I
accidentally merged them the wrong direction... so your new address was
just listed as an alternate, and the old address stayed active.
I think I've merged everything together (correctly this time?), so your
only username is EarlFHampton. You almost never have to actually keep
the password, since you can always have it mailed to you (eventually
we'll need something to restrict the number of times you can do that,
since you could *really* annoy someone with endless password change
requests), and in fact if I've done things right the next release will
let you sign in with your email address in place of your username, and
it will look you up from there. When it all works right (and when I
leave it alone instead of poking it to see how it's working) it's
supposed to be pretty easy to use. We still have bugs to iron out,
though.
I've also merged some other folks' accounts, so hopefully I haven't
goofed any of them up either. The system (and I) tried to do a decent
job of guessing how to match up email addresses as they changed over
the years (some of the Phoenyx lists have archives going back more than
twelve years), but we weren't always successful.
