HI people. I've been out of action for the last few days - giving some lessons :( But now I've got time to catch up on the wealter of messages... Anyway - the site looks nice - I like the colour scheeme, easy on the eye for the most part, fairly easy to read as well :) > 1) I check that everyone's browser can read it OK. If anything > looks weird please tell me. fine on NS communicator 4.6 > 2) Could someone please write an introduction to the humans game > for me? Didn't Rylen do a "blurb" earlier? > 3) Does anyone want to write a proper 'article' about currents? > It seems a conspicous omission to me :) What?Oh. We have forgotten about that. We have already got the article on Hyperspace travel.. Just reading that again... Does it seem to anyone that the description implies "instantaneous" travel? it is still nice, but I am stumped as to how to make "currents" consistent with the existing description. Probably because I know v.little about quantum stuff :( > 4) We need to decide how to present the societies on the web site Hmmm... Do we have some kind of template - use a buggerised version of the Elyria society templates... Ahh.. yeah - read first kenny. You talk about thatr one-page thing. That sounds really good actually! About the systems etc. How about we have a "stellar cartography" page/section. Which will list every system etc and have a link to description of any that exist... Something like X Y Z: Type : Name : Majority Presence eg 0 0 0: G7: Home : Human(independant) And you place a link on the name which goes to a description or history of the system. Yes, I already had that one :) I was thinking of something more human-specific. ie. humans game, gm is Rylen, focuses on stuff, here are societies, rather than this is game, this is what we do. If you follow that :) I think I'll have to hassle Rylen again, then *he* can delegate it > > 3) Does anyone want to write a proper 'article' about currents? > > It seems a conspicous omission to me :) > > What? > Oh. Please :) (and not *just* becasue I'm confused as to the physics of currents :) I can probably technobabble my way through *something*, though whether it would be plausible or not... > About the systems etc. > How about we have a "stellar cartography" page/section. > Which will list every system etc and have a link to description > of any that exist... Does that sound OK? Good ideas there. And if anyone wants to draw up a Hertzprung-Russel diagram of our stars, I'm not going to stop them. :) Although I was envisioning total description, linking only the systems people have described fits in with how we're going to describe societies... -- Edmund (who's society is looking smaller and smaller compared to everyone elses' :) ---------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, send mail to celandra-off@phoenyx.net.

That was for Phoenyx. This one will be for the web page and the Human game. > I was thinking of something more > human-specific. ie. humans game, gm is Rylen, focuses on stuff, here are > societies, rather than this is game, this is what we do.
