Celandra is a game in which the players take the roles of societies, rather than playing individual characters. The players will invent a society with its culture and heritage, and will guide its development and interaction with the world. Emphasis will be be placed on developing a detailed history of Celandra, along with myths and legends.

[Cel] [Ely] Start date?

Hi,

Joel, I was just wondering when were we going to start the Elyria game?

[Cel] [Ely] Start date?

Juuso,

I am still waiting on two players to submit. The alternative is to
start w/o them and they lose the advantage of submitting for the time
gap.
I also still have some work to do and some real life crisis are
taking my focus away from the game. My apologies to all for the
delays.

To those concerned if i am one of those outstanding players it would be nice
to be notified, and how to go about it. As a complete novice to PBEM a
helping hand at the outset would be appreciated. If i`m not one of them
then just ignore this E-mail

[Cel] [Ely] Start date?

To M. Taylor,

You are not one of the missing two. I was not aware you were
interested in joining Elyria. If you would like to join, please pick a
society that might interest you.

Societies taken at the moment are:
Aloria
Mythnir Fae
Order of Helix
Keland/Northmarch (reunited)
Nazclan
Reyclean
Silver Hand
Tasaleth
Turunas
Eleven Cities(is partially open, some of them will be played by Juuso)

The rest of the societies are open. The Sorcerer of the North is gone.
One or two players have already left but did add to the game:
Ardrian O'.... - during the time gap will have a small contingent of its
fanatics leave (an exodus according to them) to the Eleven Cities where
they will start to preach to the unconverted and gain adherents.
(In terms of the game, as conversions advance this can give them some
counterweight to the Alorian presence which inhabits their country and
looms over them)

The Confederacy - (newly written) a somewhat obscure set of islands to
the north in the Ice Bay. Refugees from countless wars in Elyria have
often fled here for reasons unknown to themselves. Many obscure races,
magic, societies struggle for survival here and to work together.
Details are available on request.

Submissions for each turn are due every 3 weeks. We are currently
trying to align the calendars between Elyria & Qaiyoure (the current
active game). There is a 8-9 year time gap. To make up the difference
all players can submit a set of orders describing what their society has
been doing for the past 8-9 years. A general outline of actions is
fine. Rolls for success will be made for the entire action or sub
actions. Only extreme rolls of success or failure will influence
results.
If you need example of yearly actions, please review the calendars
for various societies and click on the year, in many cases you will see
their actions, pluses and minuses included.
Any other questions, please feel free to ask. Juuso/Jason if you
have any other words of advice, please add them.

Joel

[Cel] [Ely] Confederacy Position Open

Due to other real life considerations, N. Stevens has chosen to withdraw
from Elyria. He has left us a fascinating new society the Confederacy
to add to the game. It is unfortunate he will not be available to play
it.

No apologies needed. I understand completely, and am in
awe that you are willing to do this!
