[Cel] The Final Battle and the New Year. (Both games read)

(This is the events for the next year. Also their will be a "confrence"
of all the nations involved in the war. But do to school (and
competionts.) I will not be able to initate the confrence for another
two weeks.)

Jason)

As the year 1423 dies the evil god Sin-Alb uses the Oracle for his own
evil purpose. Word reaches Mirabalpur the goddess Miracradsa responded
by traveling to the Oracle and using the Golden Mirror she is able to
discover what Sin-Alb asked that Oracle and what the answer was. She
and the Eerith Valor left and bored a ship.

Two weeks latter the Sinari attack. They slowly push past each level
of fortifications. Then they arrive at walls of Talishara, as the
United Army closed the gates. The mages of Mir, Celpalar, Fae, Burcancy
stood up ont walls. The Battle of the Gods or as it is called by the
humans, The Final Battle had begun.

*****

On Stone Island in the mystical room stood Sin-Alb. He raised
his hands and summoned the creature in the room. It came, and spoke in
a voice that could be heard all over the island. "Lorgrenes called
Sin-Alb you have summoned me. Which god do you wish to summon?"

"Alatta." The twisted god-archmage said. The creature true from
emerges for the first time in centuries. It was not a creature at all
but a gateway to the realm of the gods. The gate show and spun and
seemed to humm for a moment.

Emerging from the gateway came a old man who skin clung to his face like
a defidrated dead body. He wore tattooed black robes that seemed about
ready to fall apart. The worse of all though was the evilness and the
insanity that shown from his eyes.

Alatta looked at Lorgrenes/ Sin-Alb. "What do you wish?" He sneered.
"Are you so powerless that you have to summon me to fight your wars."

Sin-Alb sneered back. "I am an Archmage of Mir and Valeerith. I need
no ones help." On his faces spread an grin so evil that Alatta tried to
step back but he was being held in place by the gateway. "Your magic is
all I need to out rank all the gods of the Dreaming. Just as I became
the valeerith who destroyed each other so shall you become part of me."
Sin-Alb starts to move forward hand out stretched. He sees a light from
the door and then finds himself flat against the far wall. In the door
way stand Miracradsa and Valor.

Miracradsa tattoos burned a deep blue as she walked to stand over her
corrupt priest and archmage. Valor went to stand before Alatta. In his
hand he brandished the Scepter of the Eerith.

Alatta says. "Thank you for coming he almost optioned ultimate
godhood." Valors eyes were cold as he spoke.

"It is not him who is our enemy. It is you." Valors form began to
blaze. "My people shall be free." then he raised his hand with the
scepter in it, and light blazed forth.

*****

As one scepter was raised so was another. Eubratosa raised the Scepter
of Mir in Talishara. With it he summoned that dragons to battle. He
then used the power of the Scepter to create and ice shield around the
city.

*****

Far to the south on one of the unexplored island the dragons burst forth
from their caves. As they did so the island exploded. They flew north
towards the battle.

Form the city of Anneanye the dragons of Sin-Alb burst forth and headed
towards Talishara. Dragons breath burring the ice shield over the city
of Talishara.

*****

Miracradsa stood over her fallen priest. She looked with compassion at
him. Slowly she began to float and she began to shin. Her human body
burned away and she stood before Lorgrenes in all her divine power.

"Dexter and ------. Your fighting have caused havoc over the
world. You helped to bring about the evil of Alatta. And almost
destroyed not just god and men but eerith as well. For this you shall
be no more." She stretched for her hand placed it on Lorgrenes
forehead. She held it their as he convulsed, and screamed in pain.
Then scream merged into two separate screams. AS the two warring
VAleerith were killed for ever by the goddess had. When the convulsing
had subsided the body of Lorgrenes, the evil god Sin-Alb was dead. All
that remained was a shrunken husk, and a bright glowing spirit. The
freed spirit of Lorgrenes.

The spirit turned to his goddess and body and then left going to the
realm of the goddess to await her return. The goddess left and did not
look back. The people of Qaiyore needed her.

Valor finished his spell and cast it at the evil called Alatta. The
explosion that followed was seen as far as the Razanian Coast, and the
tsunami created changed the face of Celandra.

*****

The Ice shield had long ago melted and shattered under the dragons fire
but now the two side of dragons fought each other in the skies above the
city while the while the Sinari besieged the city. The mages cast great
spells of magic. The number of dragons had decreased to the point were
only about two dozen still lived. The ground battle was just as
undecided. Massive amounts of people were dying but yet the sinari
still came.

All of the suddenly everything stooped.

Across the sky came a figure. A God. The mirish mages and people of
TAlishara held their breath for fear that it was Sin-Alb. The sinari
raised a cheer believing that it was their god come to destroy the
enemy, but then figure drew closer. It was not a god but a goddess.
The Sinari for once felt fear. She roses above the battle field and
turned to the dragons. The two sides stopped fighting. They now
followed the goddess. She turned to the Sinari, and spoke in a voice
that was heard across the world.

"Sin-Alb is dead. His madness driven from him. And also the evil of
alatta is dead. This is your world again. Guard against they that
would wish to gain god hood. For mortals are not created for god
hood." Then laid the contents revenge on the Sinari for following a
false god.

Dragon fire burned across the field. Swarming flies and countless
lighting bolts, and fire balls spread across the sky from the mages.
But the greatest destruction came from the goddess and she spread forth
her hand and countless bodes fell in death and were destoryed to the
earth in the blink of an eye.

When all was done. The False Seeress were killed to a women. Nine
tenths of the sinari were dead. Their bodies were destroyed into
nothing. The field were the great battle took place looked that same as
it had the week before. Thus was the wraith of the gods of the Dreaming
shown to the world.

The Goddess stood above all of this and for a moment she seemed to be
surround by a group bright beings. Then the groups disappeared.

Eubratosa looks at his warlord. "We have seen the Gods this day. They
have saved their people."

*****

In Mir the mage Dioya is heard to have said. "I am ready." and then he
died.

*****

(Okay. If your a coast nation outside of midsea you got nailed with the
tsunami. And EVER society on Celandra heard the goddess words.

[Cel] The Final Battle and the New Year. (Both games read)

Wow. I should read more of these things all the way through. How
far into the coast does the tsunami go? I'm guessing that my
attempts at a navy are destroyed then? If so, what happens with the
navy's of the other societies? I'm gonna start reading these stories
and other things more often...

Cool :)

Hmm... I imagine this will have repercussions on Elyria, too. Year

[Cel] The Final Battle and the New Year. (Both games read)

Just an ironic comment...

Way back when I was Qaiyore GM, the theme I was stumbling towards was
that mortals could shape their own destiny. Also, Tarfn was to be the
main villain and the Ancient One was to be a pawn. Their goal was to
reestablish the Mirish Empire. Hmm... I think I'll try to track down the
prophecy of the Oracle and explain what I was intending with it.

As well, the original plan was for the Battle of Myr-Kun to be the
climatic battle, but things didn't quite work out that way.

Just thougt that was interesting in light of how the story turned out.

[Cel] [Story] Kel'ren'aie responds

THis story is public to the players but secret to Qaiyore. (Perhaps a few
in Mir and Celpalar will know though.)

As Miracradsa came to Stone Isle she sent a message to
Kel'ren'aie. "Prepare your people. The confrontation with Sin-Alb will
be fierce."

Kel'ren'aie received this message and he knew what might come ahead. He
set about warning his chief priests of the immediate danger. Kel'ren'aie
did not think her confrontation with Sin-Alb would be so soon after their
dialogue. Kia'nagra was again in prayer, as was Le'noir. They both
became fearful at what they saw: death. Then Kel'ren'aie spoke to each of
these men, "This death can be lessened, but not prevented. Make
haste. Strengthen and reinforce the Shield. Do it now, else more of our
brethren will perish." Then they both became full of hope and courage.

Kia'nagra and Le'noir knew their task. Each relayed the revelation to all
other brethren in this world. Immediately, the brethren knelt and were in
prayer to Kel'ren'aie to strengthen him, ourselves through him, and our
land.

Kel'ren'aie furiously brewed spells of divine protections for his people
inhabiting the Avaerean Isles. Then he saw it. The explosion from
Valor's spell against Alatta certainly destroyed Alatta, but it also
killed many brethren on the Isles from the backlash produced by the death
of Alatta. Even though the Isles remained, many needlessly perished,
others were thrown to the sea. Though but a shadow of the life in the
Isles was retained, still some lives, transformed by the magical
explosion.

The tsunami from the explosion stretched across the waters. When it
reached Golaren, a strange occurrence was. As the towering waves
approached Golaren, a faint shimmering rainbow appeared over the
Isle. The thundering waves began to float, as if taking off for
flight. They glided over Golaren, and as they did, a curious thing
happened. The former tsunami, now turned cloud-like gliding lake, began
to disperse as rain over all of Golaren. The rain was a reminder for
those on the protected island, a remembrance of the deliverance and
ever-present protection of Kel'ren'aie to his people. Alas the day
though, for many had perished outside of Golaren, on the Avaerean Isles.

Kel'ren'aie had not had proper time to prepare protections for his
expanding people. This would he not let happen again. His father's aid
would be sought. Perhaps Kel'ren'aie would now begin preparations before
colonization was started, and then finish when the colonists were
established so he would be certain of what specific protections to place
on the region.

Now he will shroud Stone Isle in a veil, invisible to the outside, but for
his Laria'rathi. This veil will also prohibit passage between the isle
and the neighboring world, save to those whom he allows.

The Laria'rathi celebrated with festivals and feasts, and mourned with
fasts and prayer. For those on Golaren had been spared, yet those on the
Isles of Avaerea were perished.

Where was the big the kaboom? i deleted Jason's email before i took a look
at the map showing the areas effected by the blast. See, Razanians don't
need to get involved, except for only looking at the great fireworks :) and
they would wonder about where the voice of the Goddess came from, like, what

The Razanians did not get whiped out. Coast towns and villages will need to be
rebuilt but maybe a few other things but it is just like any other natural
disastor. You can rebuild, as can every one elses affected.

Hey there are ways and means for everything, for example lets look at what
I see as your current situation, Raz is having a hard time on the continent,
take a leaf out of history, if life in one place is to hard emigrate to a
more friendly place. The Tidal wave hit Elyria hard ( at least parts of) give
aid and promises of friendship then become the new neighbour, their is space
over here and the nations are mostly not blood thirsty more intrigue
orientated. Who knows with time you may return to the homeland stronger then before.

And for another perspective.

What an excellent way to implement changes in your society. While
for the most part just coastal towns or cities were hit hard. This is
the kind of disaster that can change the course of countries. Some of
your 100 Kingdoms could disappear and others join together or new ones
form. New leaders could rise to unite. A new religion could form. The
resistance movement could help organize relief improving their relations
w/ their people and setting up recruiting new followers for the future.
Individuals from the resistance movement can win recognition for the
help they give and plant themselves into parts of the 100 Kingdoms.
This disaster could easily help seal the end of the war, if you want.
What happens to Haran in all this? or other important cities? If it
serves your purposes you could claim an important city is wiped out, if
it allows you to rebuild another one, more to your liking.
What if the mages help? or manage to block some of the damage from
parts of the country? Does that help magic become more acceptable?
Disasters can be very useful things. Everyone was hit outside the
Mid-sea was hit, so you have the same opportunity everyone else does.
Use it well.

How will they emmigrate to Elyria if all of Razanians ships are wiped out?
and do remember that all of the Razanian Coast would be effected by a big
flood, since they are not very high above sea level until they reach the
mountains. Waves can move up the rivers. the biggest farm lands wash out.
Razanians already have a small population, especially after the war and now
a big wave flood? gee, not much of them left. Practicly all of the big
cities would get seriously damaged or mainly wiped out, like Sout!!!! who
had a University. The bloody flood pretty much ruin my plans for the
Razanians and will take century or more to completly recover from that wave
and the war before that. So the society pretty much got killed. Same with
Aryisa. And has to be a big darn wave to be able to effect the coasts all
around Qaiyore and parts of Elyria, very odd wave at that.

unless the moderator is okay if we fast forward the game several decades :)
or some god taking sympathy for the Razanians and helps them rebuild their
homeland :)

I sort of agree.

A wave the size we're talking about would leave all the coastal cities in
ruins (if not underwater). Most of the Razanain Coast is probably
devastated.

The Ban Horroth are fine.

Louis their were two explosion. One on the island were the dragons were hidding
in the south west. And one on Stone island in the North west. And actolly if
you look at the two maps the Elyria and Qaiyore are closer then most people
think. Also if you want it to have flood most of the coast you can, or it can
just stik to the coastal areas.

Louis,

The damage you are assuming for your society seems to be in excess
of what the GM appears to have in mind. If you wish to make things
worse for yourself that is your choice, but please don't keep whining
when you are making things worse for your society then it is supposed to
be.

If you really feel you can not handle it:
1) Try and change the GM's mind. Maybe he will moderate the damage.
2) Try and get a consensus among the players to change the GM's mind.

3) pick another society. If you want I will reiterate my offer. I
will trade Burcancy with you. I think it would be fun to rebuild
Razinians. There are so many things to do.
4) Suck it up and keep on playing. Is the tsunami harsh, yes. So
what, either treat it as a game and deal. Or treat it as real life
where all sorts of stuff happens and you deal w/ it. Either way, the
real test is how well you handle the challenges you receive.

I do not know if your critiques are meant to appear to be as
complaining or whining but they certainly come across that way. If you
wish to make a difference and actually change the GM or some else's
mind, I suggest you try another approach to your dialogue, currently you
appear annoying and totally ineffective.
If you really want to keep whining please whine to some individual
players who might want to actually hear you, and not to the list, it has
been getting old for awhile now and is only getting older.
My apologies to the rest of the list for this commentary, I do not
know how the rest of you feel but some of these messages are getting
really tiresome.

Coast does not necessarily mean flat. Several of the Raz. provinces are
against the mountains and might be of higher elevation. Also, much of
the country is forest that might bear the brunt of the tsunami as it
rushed forward.
The GM has declared that it will take several years of rebuilding for
all nations. Raz. does not have to make conditions worse for himself,
unless he wants to.

Trust me when I say the keyboard is less likely the problem, look at your

                          b) keyboard treiber is deleted
                          c) your keyboard is truely messed up or too dirty
under the keys
Compaq handles all keyboards, trust me I`m repairing them each day.

Hey
Lets look at it in a different light, Raz is damaged with few surviving,
looks bad and is bad, now see how I see it, fewer people, less cost to ship
them to another place. Land got swamped, rich soil now laying over land. As
for starting out new, what do you think Aunderli did, pop out of the ground and
say "I know proclaim this land for Aunderli, now you lot push off" No they
landed got allies and built it from scratch, how THEY wanted it.
Sounds as if Raz in its present form is not giving you much pleasure,
change Raz into the form you want. It`ll take time but then the best
Societies/characters I know also took time and gained a personality.
If you think this is just Hype..fine. I have provided a few ideas, how you
use them is your choice.

I wouldn't mind rebuilding a society from scratch, but one of the things i
have problem with, and which i mention countless times, is the speed of the
game! practicly takes a month or two per turn. Ain't much fun when it is
slow like it is. will take years real time before the Razanian society is
back into shape.

I am aware of the elevation and so on. The Kingdoms closer to the mountains
have higher chances of survival. ones by the coast practicly wiped out. The
coast is whole huge mess now. But the size of the wave we are talking about
would of course be take out most of the Razanian Coast.

And I keep saying. Its not going to go much fast. Your the only one who seems
to have a really problem with it. The shortest each turn would go would be
three weeks any way. This game is played around peoples lives, most of which

YOu have patience and waiting mixed up. YOu are using patience instead of
waiting. Patience is actively preparing for something in teh future you
know you can't have now, and also enduring present situation for a
future reward. While waiting is just that, delaying, not really
doing anything until others have what they need done.

Patience is the ability to step into a larger frame outside yourself and
see what else is going on for you and others and to take those factors
into account and balance them against your needs.
Waiting is being caught inside your body and not being able to see the
needs of others only your own.
Wisdom is knowing when each is appropriate.

If you want the game to go faster, has anyone volunteered to help Jason,
perhaps by just emailing & encouraging others to send their orders in
faster or perhaps by helping to adjudicate orders. I know that both
Jason & Keaton are extremely busy people and faster is probably
unrealistic but your help still might help improve the flow of the game.
