Fortunately, it is able to rely on imports to prevent mass starvation but the experience is a sobering reminder of the legacy of the past. East Torphan - Three separate assassination attempts on highly placed officials are narrowly thwarted before the assassin is slain. She appears to be a dark elf, possibly Vraal, but no clear evidence is forthcoming and the Vraal vehemently deny any knowledge of either the attacks or the assassin (further adding that "Had it been one of ours, they would not have failed.") Laria'rathi - The L'R are smitten with a tragedy of epic proportion. A virulent plague rips through the population. Therani - After an all too short reign, to a nation's sorrow, the Dun Ri passes away in his sleep. His physicians blame the stress and fatigue of the Sinari war and the rebuilding, saying that he never fully recovered and kept his deteriorating physical condition hidden from an adoring people. M.
