Celandra is a game in which the players take the roles of societies, rather than playing individual characters. The players will invent a society with its culture and heritage, and will guide its development and interaction with the world. Emphasis will be be placed on developing a detailed history of Celandra, along with myths and legends.

[Cel] [Elyria] Call for player and some instructions

Greetings,

Because of the damage to the coast and the natural shock to the people and
ecosystems, I think that I'd like to try and restrict the initial societies
to those were not effected by the disaster. However, if you can give me and
the list a good enough reason to run one of the effected societies then I
might consider it. Once we have done several turns and the game is on solid
footing I would let coastal societies players in the game.

As far as what year to start...I was thinking 2850 or maybe even later. The
shock of the Sorcerer and the Tsunami were pretty great and most people
would only want to survive and take care of their families. There are power
vaccuums, though...and we know what happens when there is a vaccuum...are
YOU ready for the challenge?

IIRC, the ruling at the time was that while the damage to (certain)
coastal areas was substantial, it was nowhere near crippling (not even
for the Razanian coast which was perhaps hit the hardest).

If we would want to keep the two games sync'd, I think a good starting
point would be 2854 (in time with Qaiyore 1434 - the difference between
dates is 1420 years), or maybe 2855 assuming that the starting-up phase
takes more than a week - which I consider likely.

Since year 2846-7 was (IIRC) never actually resolved, I suggest we
forget about it. That would make the jump ten years. Long enough time
for Eric to insert some customization of his own to Elyria, and for the
coastal areas to recover fully.
