Celandra is a game in which the players take the roles of societies, rather than playing individual characters. The players will invent a society with its culture and heritage, and will guide its development and interaction with the world. Emphasis will be be placed on developing a detailed history of Celandra, along with myths and legends.

[Cel] Mirrish actions 1445

The ancient Celamyrsa family home stood in the quiet
of the early morning.  The house was a spralling manor
built in a massive gardens.  The house was a serious
of rooms and and plazas and opened collomed halls. 
The Archmage stood with his Warlord standing next to
one of the colloms looking out over the gardens.  The
collom was a delacitly carved staute of a mirish
maiden.  Eubratosa stood there and looked at the
staute.  It was a representation of the Havancrada,
the mirrish goddess of the nature, he felt it
appropriate that she had been choosen to guard the
gardens of the Celamyrsa home.

"So Burcancy has placed and intresting request upon
us."  The Warlord said.  It had been many years since
the Sinari war and she had but never really returned
to her old wardrobe.  She still wore leather armor all
the time with a sword at her side, but she had taken
to wearing a white robe over the armor.

"Yes."  The archmage said.  His face was still very
young even though his hair was a very dignified grey
now.  "I know."  He stepped out into the garden and
began to walk along the gravel path.  The warlord
followed her boots making crunching noices as she
walked across the gravel.

"What are we going to do about it."  The warlord said.
 The Archmage did not answear right away.  He walked
over to a pool with a staute of an old Mirish Queen
standing in the middle.  The Archmage stood and looked
at his ansestor.

"We do not have many true friends in the world. 
Burcancy has been a very loyal friend and I can not
causally dismiss that."  The Archmage said as he
lowered his hand to run it through the water.

"So we are going to go to war with the Vraa'al?"  The
Warlord said.  She raised her eyes brow in suprise. 
War was rarely something the Archmage even considered.
 

"No."  He said looking at his Warlord for the first
time.  "Well not now anyway."  The Warlord sat down on
the bench seeing no reason to countune standing.  "We
will help them with crowning.  We will stand behind
Villard in this."

"And we will look into the Vraa'al situation and see
how would be the best way to act."  The Warlord said
with a nod of her head.

"Yes, at this moment I am more intrested in the World
Egg."  The Archmage said.  His hair seem to gleem in
the ealy morning sun.  "The Ka'Shari are looking for
it at the order of there Gods, and the Dreaming is in
an uproar about this."

"So are we going to try and settle it?"  The Warlord
asked.

"Maybe.  That depends on what we are up against." The
Archmage said.  Then he turned to look at Ria and gave
her a sly smile.  "I am starting the training of th
Warmages again, so you will finally be able to fufill
you dream and conquere a new world.

She just gave his a dirty look and stood up.  "I will
arrange your escort for the corrination."

The Archmage just laughed.  She allowed a smile to
cross her lip as she left the garden.

Actions 1 & 2: Searching for the new world.

There seems that a new world has emerged.  Mir
realises that there seems to have been a lot of people
who are looking into this and seeming to fail.  The
Archmage is create three groups to look into this. 
The first group is going to look into the various
groups that went looking for this new world.  They are
to gather as much information as possbile about these
various groups and were they looked and look into
their information sources.  This is the main group. 
The second group is to focus on looking for Prince
"Habar" The are to try to see if they can figure out
who this charater is.  The last group is to spend its
time looking difrectly for the gateway.  They are to
gather information about the gateway directly and see
they are ab le to find the gateway.

Difficulty: Hard -1
Weight: Double +1
Fudge Point: +1 

Action 3: Countine training the warmages

The warmages training has been put on hold for the
past little while.  The Archmage has ordered the
warmages to contiune there training.  The Archmage is
hoping to gather enough for another coutrie to be
tained.  That is a lot of wha they will look into is
finding students for another coutrie.

Difficulty: Hard -1

Action 4: The crowning of the new ruler of Burcancy.

Villard is retiring from rule of Burcancy and his heir
is going to take the throne.  He has invited the
Archmage and mir to participate.  Even with all of the
bad things that happened last year.  Mir is going to
stand besides Villard in his desion.  Mir would be
willing to help and do what ever is requested to help
with the corination.

Difficulty: Easy +1

(sorry between work and school and a trip back to
Minnesota this summer I have been very busy.)

Action 1 & 2: The Gateway (1 of 2 years)

The gateway to this new world has been found but it
appears that it is guarded by a very powerful guardian
that seems to have effectively guarded the gate.  The
Archmage feels that it would be best to look into this
guardian.  A search into the what this guardian is and
how to get past it will be looked into.  They are to
look for any information about what the creature is
with out directly confronting the creature. 
Information is also to be gathered about these various
groups that have attempted to enter to see what groups
have tried and gather as much information about has
and has not been tried.

Difficulty: Hard
Weight: Double


Action 3: The Vraa'al (1 of 2 year)

With the Vraa'al attempted assaisination of the
Burcancy family and Burcancy requst for aid.  Mir is
going to look into the situation.  The Archmage has
places Niotrosa in charge of a research into the
Vraa'al.  They are to look into all of the recorded
Knoweldge about the Vraa'al.  This includes the
original deal with the Vraa'al and also the
ethnogrophies writen about them and other records on
the Vraa'al.  At this point all the research is only
taking place with in the Mirish records, archives,
library and other vaults.  They are looking for
information that will help them with again dealing
with the Vraa'al.

Difficulty: Easy
Weight Single

Action 4: The Warmages

The effort to improve the warmages contiune.  They are
to contiune this year improveing the courties that
have already been formed and try to find enough talent
to form anouther courtie with in the forth coming
years.

Difficulty :Hard

*Results:* results so far (Hard: x,x)

*Interpretation:* It seems everyone guards their secrets
concerning the gateway very, very closely. The year is spent
tracking down a three different false leads.

*Resolution:* Diff = Easy (+1) + Dice (-0+-) + Extras () = 0 Mixed results

*Results:* (Easy: 0,x)

*Interpretation:* The Mir archives turn out very little useful in
this situation. The original deal itself especially offers
little direct help in a situation like this. On a more positive side,
the archives turn up several detailed documents of the origins
and society of the Vraa'al. While somewhat old (even the
newest is several centuries old), the Vraa'al society
is unlikely to change.

Sorry as well.  Looks like everyone is in the same boat.  My dentist put me
on some antibiotic mouthwash, its really zapping my energy levels......
(staring at 5 spreadsheets of student details so long that they blur into an
image, much like those 3D posters, and even coffee and Tiger Army on my
earphones doesn't help)  Been working on something in my mind for Kaeir and
the Ban Horroth, as well as the more general actions.  Even a possible
interesting character development for the Lord Consul, Sanus Jafaarsan.

Action 1 & 2: Union

 

With the fear of Ice Deamon invasion in Videssia.  Mir and Burcany are preparing the military to help.  Mir is sending a request to the Eerith to uses the Floating city as a communication / observation base.  The base would be where Ria and aids would be stationed since they are really the only foriegners the Eerith trust.  The base would not have a military presence other then the Warlords guards all of who served with her in the last war and are known to the Eerith.  Since it is currently located over Videssia it will be used as a coordination base since it does have a birds eye view of the country side.  Burcancy will send an offer to the Videssian cities offer Burcancy and their allies aid.  Burcancy and Mir will send a request to Parglug and the Jundar region to see if they would be willing to unite against the Ice Deamons.  The goal would to gather the four armies in the Jundar region to prepare to drive the Ice Deamons out of Videssia and out of this part of the contenent.  

 

Difficulty: Hard

Weight: Double

Factors: One for Jundar is the fact that the Exquaestio are working towards the same end.  As for the Eerith (comments from Keaton) would be more willing to allow Ria and her staff from the last war to uses the floating city as a command/communication center.

Fudge Ponts: (If I got any for the government article juuso uses one of them.)

 

Action 3 & 4: War

 

While attempting to unit the varies countries against the Ice Deamon threat.  Mir and Burcancy are beginning to move their armies.  Portions of the Mirish and Burcancy armies will be places along the Buircancy/Parglug border to defend Burcancy proper.  The Mirrish navy will be used to begin shipping in food supplies from Celamyr, Yora’Timar and northern Burcancy to where the army is stationed.  The Burcancy Navy will be sent to Videssia to help supply the cities and remove any refugees.  The rest of the army will begin to prepare to move to join the armies in Jundar if that is the case or prepare to travel to be carried by ship to Videssia.

 

Difficulty: Normal (we have been preparing for this for a couple years.)

Weight: Double

        Action 1 & 2: The Southern Expedition.
   
  At the beging of the year the second fleet will be sent south to join the first fleet at the designated sit.  This year will be spent fortifing the sit.  Walls will be built around were the settlement will be built.  Until the wall is up though the people are to contiune to live on the ships.  After that feilds will be sowed to help provide to contiune to englarge and ensure the food supplies.  Once the seeds have been planted, they are to build house for the people to live in and from there other nessisary buildings.
   
  The Second fleet should join them to bring more people, and supplies.  The Third fleet should arrive later in the year in preperations for winter.  A fourth fleet will be prepared this year to be sent south next year.
   
  While buildings and planting are the most important aspect for this year, several scouts will be sent out to explore the land around the componed.  They are to keep there eyes out for goblin or human settlements, also to discovers what resources are avaiable, and see if they can find the dragons and there nests.

  Action 3: Improve the Warmage training.
   
  With the system once again in place Mir has turned its attention to the high mortality/burn out rate.  This is unexcetable and must be dealt with.  This year will be spent in watching the warmages in training.  Their training, there study, there sleeping habbits, and other aspect of their lives.
   
  This information is to be looked over by the Archmage, council of twelve, military leader, and teachers.  Together they are going to select a commity that will re view these reports as they come in, and see if they can figure out the problem.
   
  The Archivest are to search the city records for previous burn/mortatilty rates during the Imperial Age.  They are to also search the journals and training manuals of the military from that time to see if they can also discover anything they did that has not been incorperated into the current training.

  Action 4: Talishara
   
  In the ancient and holy city of Talishara stands the Oracle, but once the Temple to the Three Mothers once graced her hills.  For several years Mir has recieved patitions to build the once glorious complex.
   
  Mir has decided to rebuild the ancient complex.  The plan is to rebuild it as close to plan as is possible.  The ancient records, and accounts of the temples will be gathered in preperations for the building of the temple.
   
  The site of the ancient temple will be cleared in preperations for construction which hopefully will start next year.
   
  The nessisary resources such as marble, wood, and other materials are to be purchased and shipped to Talishara in preperations for the construction.

  Mir responces to Kaeir's actions is irritation.  Mir sends a letter to Kaeir telling them that the invasion of Jabua is unlawful and unjust.  To attack while Milakanur is help[ing against the goblins is cowardly.  Mir will begin moving troops in Yora'Timar and Tanimbar but will send a note saying that while Mir will never cross Kaeir's border.  They will help Milakanur to regain the actually territory.  They ask for Kaeir to peacefully to with draw.
   
  Notes are also sent to Tanimbar, Burcancy, and Sedonia requesting they help support.
   
  Mir has standing orderes not to cross into Kaeir, but since they have proven themselves sneaky they want to be safe.
   
  (mostly what people desided, so mostly troop movements which would be a normal difficulty. since I can't change Kaeir's mind  its up to them.  Burcancy's king Opozoya Villard would support Mir.)

The Kaeirean response to Mir is short and polite.  On principle  Kaeir will not even consider a return of Port Jabau to Milakanur.   At all.  That does not mean however that there might not be other  options that could be considered.
  
  The Millati lords in the Great Council oppose Milakanur, the great  persecutor of the Conveyor, holding the Gateway to the Holy City.   A larger number of more pragmatic merchant lords simply dont want to  gateway to the Trans-Calarnar controlled by another country, with the  potential to cut off access.
  
  Across the Midsea, Kaeirean diplomats point out that the original  Milakanuri occupation of Port Jabau was in response to fear of the  Sinari from local tribes.  Specifically, the murder of the Jabuasi  sanoukh by the Sinari seeresses.  Since the Sinari are long gone,  the justification for Milakanuri possession of Port Jabau is null and  void.

Just an addition to the 3/4  action
   
  Work on stopping the attack on Rimriver.  Wants to help Milaknur reclaim territory but they need to leave Kaeir terrriories alone.
