[Cel] Enlarged History of Mir

Here is an updated and extended version of Mirs
history. (Do you relise how hard it is to to come up
with over 4000 years of history.) I orignally wrote
this in word and just coppied and pasted it into my
email since attactments don't always go through. BE
and CE date are the standered calandar used on
Qaiyore. PF and FMK is the calander Mir uses. PF pre
founding. FMK mean Founding of Mysty Kingdom. Enjoy.
:)

The History of Mir

? – 2752 BE	The Age of Shadows	? – 1 FMK

Qaiyore	Mirish	Description of Events
?	?	The First humans immigrated to the island, which
would come to be called Celamyr

?	?	Different family units in a area began to gather
together for protection and support. These are the
creation of the first Mirish tribes.

?	?	Mirish Shaman began to emerge in different tribes.

?	?	Miracradsa appeared to the Chieftain and Shaman of
a coastal northern tribe. She called the Shaman as
her High Priest. The members of the Chieftains tribes
excepted Miracradsa as their Goddess. They became
know as Tribe of Miracradsa

Historical NOTE: It is believed that before this
vision the tribes of Mir worshiped the spirits of
nature as do the Oganir.

?	?	The Worship of Miracradsa begins to spread beyond
the Tribe of Miracradsa. The converted tribes began
to become loosely united under the Tribe of
Miracradsa.

2848 BE	96 PF	The Avaerians discover the island of
Celamyr. The first people they made contact with was
the Tribe of Miracradsa. The relations open friendly.

2843 BE	91 PF	The Avearians are granted a spot of land
outside of the village of the Tribe of Miracradsa.
The Avearian built a small city and named it Puramyr.
In an attempt to bring more territory to their kingdom
the Avearians provided the local tribes with weapons
and food, which lead the Mirish tribes to spreading
their power.
At this time the Avearians named the island Celamyr.
The Chieftain at the time too Celamyr as his families
last name.

Historical Note: The Avaerians manipulated the
Mirish tribes into what they viewed as the dirty work.
Not to say that the Miracradsa tribes did not have
their own ambitions.

2820 BE	68 PF	The Tribes of Miracradsa conquer the
northern half of the island. At this time the
Avearian governor tried to exert power over the
tribes. The Mirish stormed the governors palace and
drove out the governor and the Avearian government.
The current chieftain, Toshasa after the expulsion of
the Avearian governor was declared Sa, Mirish for
King. Toshasa added the sa to his last name as well.
Toshasa first act was to declare to declare Puramyr
capital of the new Kingdom of Puramyr.

Historical Note: The expulsion of the Avearian
governor was just the governor and the government.
The local Avearians were not even touched during the
explosion. They were allowed to stay. There are
still families in Puramyr that claim to still be full
blooded Avearians.

2813 BE	61 PF	King Toshasa I gathers all of the Shaman
and priest of Miracradsa. Claiming to have received
instruction in a dream from Miracaradsa. He created
the Brotherhood of Sorcery. The High Priest was
appointed as the Archmage.

Historical Note: The Archmage was still called the
High Priest.

2805 BE	53 PF	The Kingdom of Avearan recognized the
kingdom of Puramyr and officially opened relations
with the new country. Trade, which had stopped for
the past decade was reestablished.

2792 BE	40 PF	The armies of the kingdom of Puramyr has
marched on the confederate city of Jiklago. The
attack and subsequence capture of the city of Jiklago
began the Great War of Mir.

The Great War of Mir

2752 – 921 BE	The Kingdom Age	1 – 1831

2752 BE	1 FMK	The Confederation capital at Toshapur
fell to the armies of King Dioya I. King Dioya united
Celamyr into one kingdom for the first time in
history. In honor of the union Dioya moved the
capital from Puramyr to a little village that had been
on the border of the northern and southern nations.
He renamed the village Mirabalpur, and called the
kingdom Mir.
Miracradsa appeared to King Dioya I and the Archmage
Oldioya I. She blessed Dioya and excepted him as the
ruler of her people. She gave him the Crown. She
again excepted the Archmage as her High Priest and
blessed the Brotherhood. She gave the Scepter to her
High Priest.

2720 BE	32 FMK	The Kingdom of Avearan fell to the
Milkanuri tribes. King Dioya I managed to keep the
newly united kingdom from sliding back into the shadow
ages. King Dioya I start various projects to build
Mir.

2720 BE - 2320 BE
32 FMK - 432 FMK
The Time of Isolation.

Historical Note: The time of Isolation while
disastrous for the rest of Midsea was believed to be
what helped Mir become the nation it latter became.
The Mirish people were used to being isolated, and the
kings were able to focus on uniting the nation and
building it up. It was also during this time that the
Sorcerers were able to make great development with
their magical knowledge.

2705 BE	47 FMK	King Dioya I dies

2702 BE	50 FMK	Archmage Oldioya I dies.

2325 BE	427 FMK	King Opozoya, the grandson of King
Dioya VIII ascended the throne of Mir. Opozoya had a
fascination with the ocean and the legends of kingdom
beyond the mist and waves of Mirish shores. One of
his first acts as King was to order the construction
of ships.

2320 BE	432 FMK	The first ships of King Opozoya were
completed. King Opozoya too the first ships on a
costal tour around the isle of Celamyr. The tour was
successful. King Opozoya died of a heart attack a
couple months later. He never saw the result of his
building project.

2319 BE	433 FMK	King Dioya in the end part of the year
sent out a fleet to search for the lost land of
Avearan.

2318 BE	434 FMK	The fleet, lead by Ding Dioya IX son
Prince Opozoya, was blown off course and arrived at
the mouth of the Wyr River. Their the made contact
with the city of Tal.
When Prince Opozoya returned, King Dioya IX sent him
back to establish trade and relations.

2316 BE	436 FMK	Prince Opozoya begins a massive tour
around Midsea. He planned to map all of the Midsea
coast, and also planned to make contact with the many
different society along the society.

Historical Note: This expedition is what is
believed to have lead to Mir massive wealth. With a
base strategically located in the middle of Midsea
allowed for Mir to gain control of Midesea trade.

2309 BE	443 FMK	Prince Opoozya died with mapping the
Isle of Orasaren. His boyd was returned to
Mirabalpur. Prince Opozoya's son, Prince Loraces,
continued the exploration

2305 BE	447 FMK	Prince Loraces died when he was caught
in a storm while mapping the straight. King Dioya IX
put a stop to the mapping at this time

2290 BE	462 FMK	King Dioya IX dies.

2176 BE	447 FMK	War erupted on the Isle of Orasaren.
The war disrupted trade. This war would last for the
nest thousand years until the Isle of Orasaren was
subjugated by Mir.

1808 BE	949 FMK	The Archmage Beraoya ordered an
expedition set out to study the shamans and magicians
of Midsea and the rest of Qaiyore.

in the way of serious magical competion.

1575 BE	1177 FMK	The fame of the Brotherhood of
Sorcery had spread across the continent. Many young
hopefuls travel to Mirabalpur seeking entrance into
the Brotherhood. Under Archmage Beraoya the
Brotherhood of Sorcery opens its doors to all.

Historical Note: By this time Mir had become a major
trade center in Midsea. Because of this their were
many foreigners in Mirabalpur and so the opening of
Brotherhood was a natural outgrowth of an increase
willingness to except strangers.

1260 BE	1492 FMK	A hurricane hit the northern coast of
Mir by the ancient capital of Puramyr. The Celamyrsa
royal family had gathered together at the ancestral
home at Puramyr. During the storm a large section of
the house was destroyed. Killing all of the Celamyrsa
family except KingNepoya's XI wife, Queen Faasdra, and
their grandson the ten year old Loraces. Queen
Faasdra became the first and only Queen to rule over
the Mystical Real of Mir

Historical Note: Up to this point the Celamyrsa
family had been extensive. The Celamyrsa family for
the next three hundred years never grow larger then
twenty members at any given time.

Which sends all of Mir and most of Midsea into morning
King Loraces XXII ascended the throne of Mir.

Historical Note: King Loraces XXII is believed to
have suffered from an inferiority complex which lead
to some very drastic events in Mir. King Loraces XXII
was afraid of the popularity the Sorcerers enjoyed.

941 BE	1811 FMK	King Loraces XXII called the Monster,
ordered the Archmage Jaipatha arrested and then latter
executed. King Loraces XXII the declared the uses of
High Magic illegal, and ordered the Brotherhood of
Sorcery to be disbanded. Prince Dioya, Loraces
brother, was a Sorcerer. Prince Dioya was arrested
and ordered to forsake Sorcery or be executed. Dioya
stood with his magic, and his execution was ordered.
Before the execution could take place the population
of Mirabalpur, with the help of five noble families,
attacked the palace and killed the King. The people
freed Prince Dioya and declared him King and Archmage
of Mir.

Historical Note: Were would you like me to begin.
Many legends have emerged from this event. Many
histories have been written about this event. All
agree on the above stated outline of the event, but
many of the details are disagreed on. The five noble
house were Jilnaza, Celatsa, Zortoman, Retusa,
Huziath. The rest of the noble house were stripped of
their nobility. The only living members of the
Celamyrsa family at this time was King Dioya XXVII and
his niece Yorain.

921 BE	1831 FMK	The Crown of Mir disappeared from the
Palace of the Monarchy. Princess Yorain also
disappears.

Historical Note: It is believed that Princess Yorain
took the Crown of Mir. Neither were found. It was

crown was lost. The Sorcerers believed that she lived
and had children.

Reign of King Archmage Dioya I (XXVIII) called the
Peaceful

Historical Note: Dioya the Peaceful spent much of
his energy building up Mirabalpur, and tended to
ignore Mir's foreign relations. Because of his lack
of attention Mirrish influence began to wane. Many
countries began to ignore the agreements of the Peace
Conference of Midsea. The City of Mirabalpur original
had a Avearan/Celpalar building style. Under the
reign of King Archmage Dioya the peaceful, Mirabalpur
began to take on its modern day look.

905 BE	1847 FMK	The building of the Palace of Sorcery
was started

894 BE	1858 FMK	The efforts of the Peace Conference of
Midsea failed as various counties went to war.

847 BE	1905 FMK	The Palace of Sorcery was finished and
dedicated.

792 BE	1960 FMK	King Archmage Dioya I dies. He also
died childless. It was believed that the Celamyrsa
family was dead. King Archmage Dioya I declared that
the Archmage would also serve as rulers of Mir. The
Brotherhood elected Hondasy to become the next
Archmage.

Historical Note: The Sorcerers had never set a
pattern for choosing the next Archmage. With the
Archmage now ruling Mir, the Council of Twelve
enforced the tradition of them choosing the Archmage.
A power they would hold until the fall of the Empire.

787 BE	1965 FMK	Mir made its first contact with
Imperial Rian a'Avaerand. Relations start of tense.

Historical Note: For the first time in Mirrish
History, Mir was challenged in the magical field. The
Avearan wizards of Rian a'Avaerand are true to
character and look with contempt upon their southern
brotheren.

785 BE	1967 FMK	The Archmage Hondasy began a extensive
study of the Dreaming. He also begins a study of Rian
a'Avaerand and its magic.

731 BE	2021 FMK	The Archmage Hondasy finished his
massive research of the Dreaming. The Archmage
Hondasy gathered all of the magical might of Mir
together and bore a hole into the Dreaming.
Permanently opening a gate to the Dreaming.
A few months after the opening the gateway the
Sorcerers were surprised when a tribe of dragons
emerged from the newly created gateway. The Archmage
Hondasy did not waste any time and used this new
development to Mirs advantage. He discovered that the
scepter of Mir also could be used to control dragons.
The Archmage Hondasy started to train a new military
unit called the warmages.

730 BE	2022 FMK	Wyr is attacked by the desert tribes.
Mir sent a group of Warmages to help drive off the
desert tribes. The warmages were a success.

Historical Note: These warmages at this battle were
not the advanced warmage that would come in latter
years. These warmages were little more then armored
Sorcerers.

2752

721 BE	2031 FMK	The Archmage Hondasy ordered his
dragon armies, his warmage, and the Mirrish navy to
attack the cities of Orasaren. The cities of Orasaren
fall before the might of the Imperial Army. The Isle
of Orasaren falls to Mir before the end of the year.
The Kingdoms of western Midsea united and sent an
army to attack the Mirrish capital of Mirabalpur. The
Western army falls before the rather of the Mirrish
navy and the sorcerers.

Historical Note: The Mirrish Empire is refereed to
as early 1787 BE, but it was in reference to the
control that Mir has over Midsea's trade, and in away
the ocean through its navy not actual territory. The
Mirrish empire as an official state with a ruler did
not come into being until 721 BE.

outgrowth of the quiet tension that had been brewing
between Rain a'Avaerand and Mir since

787 BE. No official war was declared during this time
as neither Empire wished to exert the amount of energy
required for this endeavor.

432 BE	2320 FMK	The Emperor Archmage Dioya II started

427 BE	2325 FMK	King Ardalor IX declares war against
the Mirrish empire. The Mirrish invasion fleet
attacks the capital with little resistance. During
the battle all arcane contact was lost. The Sorcerers
in Mirabalpur are in the dark as to the outcome of the
battle. The Rain a'Avaerand troops in Rainrin are
defeated.

426 BE	2326 FMK	Half of the invasion fleet returns to
Mirabalpur. They reported that the islands of the
Avearan chain had all been blown out of existence.
The floating island that came to be known as Annaeyana
appeared above Mirabalpur. The Sorcerers investigated
the island they discovered that it was inhabited by
the Eerith. A deal is struck with these creatures.

Historical Note: The first record of the Eerith
never uses that name. They are referred to as
"ghost", angles, daemons, lights.

422 BE	2330 FMK	The Emperor Archmage Dioya II made a
compact with the Draconians.

400 BE	2352 FMK	The Emperor Archmage Sharon I made a
compact with Dark Elves from the Dreaming. These
became known as the Vraa'al.

been at a minimal.

383 BE	2369 FMK	The goblins are stopped at the battle
of Neg'avoran

Historical Note: Neg'avoran was an old Mirrish city
found in the southern forest of Qaiyore. Because the
goblins never passed this point they never touched the
civilized areas of the Empire

345 BE	2407 FMK	The goblins were driven out of the
Fortress of the Tavar Pass, and back beyond the Tavar
Mountains.

240 BE	2512 FMK	The Emperor Archmage Sharion II began
to gather the Mirrish forces at Razan, preparing for
an invasion of Celpalar.

237 BE	2515 FMK	The Mirrish Forces invaded and take
Celpalar

Historical Note: The wizards of Celpalar had covered
their island with a magical shield. The Mirrish
sorcerers were able to destroy the shield but the
shield sparked an in depth look into Celpalar magic.
What the Sorcerers discovered scared them. The magic
of Celpalar was discovered to be similar to that of
Rain a'Avaerand. The sorcerers in fear shipped the
magical libraries back to Mirabalpur, and imprisoned
the most knowledgeable of the Celpalar wizards. For
the first time in history, Mir adopted and official
policy of reducing a societies knowledge instead on
increasing it.

90 BE	2662 FMK	The Emperor Archmage Agatius was
discovered to be betraying Mir. He was removed as
Emperor and Archmage and banished to the southern part
of the District of Videssia. Lorgrences replaced the
exiled Agatius as the Emperor and Archmage of Mir.

gathering the Imperial forces of Mir for an invasion
of Bega.

72 BE	2680 FMK	The Emperor Archmage Lorgrence himself
lead the invasion of Bega. During the siege of Bega
several problems occurred: first the Emperor Archmage
Lorgrence was killed. Second Annaeyana was placed
under a shield spell. Third most of the Eerith were
imprisoned and the few that escaped rebelled against
Mir. Fourth the Scepter of Mir Disappeared. Fifth
the siege of Bega is abandoned. Some of the Mirrish
Sorcerers from Bega settle the city of Myr-Kun. The
