After four years of missionary successes, I felt it time to work out what the actual Millati population of Kaeir might be. Easier said then done. : ) Millati evangelisation of Kaeir: *Results:* Millat shanari (Normal: 0,0,0,+1,+1,+1,+1,x,x,x) Millar preachers are much more successful in their efforts after focusing on the traditional leaders of houses, villages, clans and families. A good number of villages throughout Kaeir, both on the mainland and in the isles, convert after their village heads do. Slower progress is made amongst the noble estates, but the results are a promising indicator of what this new approach can achieve. In the cities, some success is seen amongst both the aristocratic houses and the various artisans' and labourers' guilds. Though the Millati are still a minority religion in Kaeir (hardly a concern, given the cosmopolitan mix of religions), they are now one of the largest (in so far that no religion has been dominant so far) and definitely the most active and publically known religions in the Republic. Comments by Ibrahim: Well, still not fully understanding the expansion rules. Looking at the formula (result = Roll + Expansion mod + Conversion mod - Suppression), the result is the +1 for each of the last 4 turns, correct? (Otherwise the +1 turn result is the "Roll" part of the formula, and I need an Expansion, Conversion and Suppression mod) Then to determine the actual growth rate (base growth being 20%), then taking 1452 as an example for the Millati evangelisation of Kaeir, overall growth would be at 21%: 21% = (1+20) / 1 If that is the case, then population growth for the Millati in Kaeir since 1449 (when efforts finally became successful) is as follows (8000 being the starting population, the majority being early military converts): 1449: 8000 * 1.2 = 9600 1450: 9600 * 1.2 = 11520 1451: 11520 * 1.2 = 13824 1452: 13824 * 1.2 = 16588 --- Expansion/Conversion/Suppression: Juuso, what would the actual mods be? Generally, the Expansion mod would be quite high, as the Millati have no real competition in Kaeir (the other cults and churches not being particularly active) and because the Keeper has sufficient resources to support his missionaries (so their work can be full-time). Conversion has improved significantly, as the Millati have consciously worked to "Kaeireanise" themselves. Though the original Shanari preachers remain, most of the missionary work is now carried out by native Kaeireans, and the leadership itself of the Millati church is Kaeirean. Thus, appeal of the environment to the Millati is highly positive, and the appeal of the Millat to Kaeireans has consistently improved (as it is a priviliged religion economically and politically and increases a persons chance of climbing the social ladder, and because the religion itself has always been highly similiar to the existing cultural values of Kaeir). Suppression - given that most of the Senate and the armed forces is Millati, there is no official or unofficial subversion of the Millati church and its members. Quite the opposite in fact.
