I looked on the population chart for Rhuydn and thought that it is low. ALthough it is considered in the free cities for being from the same stalk and heritage but it is a united country has been since the fall of Mir, ignoring the time when it was conqered by Cedonia, after uniting under the same banner of Rhuydn once more. ---------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, send mail to celandra-off@phoenyx.net.

You're almost certainly right--the population given for Rhudyn is on the low side, but probably not by much. When I calculated the areas that were later used to calculate populations, I didn't count mountain areas. This was in part because I was literally counting pixels, which is a truly royal pain in the butt on an image as large as the map of Qaiyore. I have since done up a map in Campaign cartographer which allows for more accurate measurement of area. At some point I should probably recalculate everything. On the flip side, though, even including the mountain areas won't make much difference, since mountains generally can't support high population densities. As I show my ignorance on computer images. I really don't know that much about images. Most of the stuff I have is in .JPG I have no clue if that helps at all. If it does not help then send it in what you think would be the best. Jason Heaps Andrew Janssenwrote: What format do you want it in? chad powell wrote: > I looked on the population chart for Rhuydn and thought that it is low. So-so. It's population is affected by the semi-mountainous terrain, and hostile neighbors (Tana). Being across a sea channel it doesn't get much support from the other Free City areas and winds up in a situation similar to Poland, Korea, or the Netherlands. Rhudyn has a population density around 10 per square mile, the same as the Burcancy and more than Parglug (4.9). The Northern Free Cities have a density around 15.5, and the ex-Free Cities area of Junder has a density of 2.5. Rhudyn can certainly support a higher population, but would need to be made safe and attractive first. If you are looking at military options its definitely not a good choice, but otherwise has a great deal of potential.
