[Cel] Rhudyn actions 1458

Actions 1-2: Annexing Tana

With the union of Tana and Rhudyn the focus has now moved to building up the
Rhudyn Bureaucracy within Tana. The light council will send members to
visit with the magic users of the land and ask some to come to the Tower so
that the Light Council may begin the discussing Tanan magic users and their
future role within Tower. Tanan craftsmen will be encouraged to increase
production of goods so that the demand within Rhudyns populace for Tanan
products will be met. The High Nobles will encourage the union between
other high placed families from Tana and Rhudyn to better mingle the leaders
and to put out the remaining sparks of old prejudices.

Action 3: Trade

With the annexation of Tana Rhudyn will now begin to use the newly gained
resources to help boost the economy. Rhudyn will send trade ships to
Rimrivertown, Jubuar, Milakanur, Tanimbar, Burcancy, Cedonia , Kaeir, Mir,
Parglug, the Free Cities, Jundar, and the Videssian Cities . The plan is to
see what goods will be desired from the new materials and goods that Rhudyn
can offer. During the brief periods of stay, the ships going to
Rimrivertown, Milakanur, Mir, Burcancy, Parlug, Jundar, Kaeir, and Cedonia
will push for a trade deal in hope that Rhudyn will begin to be seen as an
equal among the nations of MidSea. The trade deals are to see what will
benefit Rhudyn-Tanan in exports and imports. Rhudyn is willing to make big
deals in order to get in the door with Rimrivertown because it is an
uprising nation, the same goes to Jundar. Rhudyn is also going to put forth
extra effort towards Mir, Videssia, Jabuar, and Milakanur. To get a good
foot in trade Rhudyn the big deals offered will be bulk materials for lower
prices or rare crafts at a lower cost. Since there is already a trade
alliance with the northern free cities Rhudyn will show the new goods and
establish what is wanted in what town. Rhudyn will avoid Aixelsydan for many
reasons and will steer clear of the Tal river area until order is
established within the area.

Action 4: Internal trade
Rhudyn will continue to expand the ports of the four main cities and will
also continue to build roads connecting villages, towns and cities. Within
this Rhudyn will also begin to build a highway that leads from Rhudyn to the
old capital of Tana. Rhudyn will also begin the upgrade and expansion of
the Tanan ports so that they will become a place that will attract trade
routes and encourage travelers and give a sense of security and safe harbor.

On Item Three, you should note that Rimriver town is a
closed port, currently open only to Kaier. You can
make contact with the Panchayyah via coastal fishing
and farming villages, but be aware dealing with them
requires respecting local customs. It took Kaier
several turns to earn their trust, and there are still
things they do not share with them. It is something
that could be interesting to play out.

Indeed. Kaeirean authorities in the Governorate of Rimrivertown would seize any foreign vessels that docked at the Rimrivertown port on suspicion of commercial espionage, most probably. The Kaeirean policy currently is for maintaining the trade monopoly in Rimrivertown, exemplified in the Closed Port policy.

Kaeir and the Panchayyah have agreed to maintain the Closed Port policy for the time being.

Midsea nations are welcome to contact the Republic to discuss this and other trading matters.

Kaeir would look very closely at attempts by other nations to establish a greater trading presence in Port Jabau (Kaeir seeing Jabuar and the Shanari as being directly in the Kaeirean sphere of influence - not to mention Port Jabau being the gateway to the holy city of Akbari), though the Ministry of Commerce would welcome visits from other trading nations to discuss any and all trading concerns.
