[Cel] [Actions] Shanari 1460

(If the only reason for me not to submit actions is that they need to be
submited by the end of the day, then I'll just write quickly. If there were
some other reasons, ignore the rest of this post and let me know.)
 Action 1: Those Sacred Baratiyyah
Ereli ab Liam ay-Martusam aj-Baratiyyah, the Boy-Prophet, Speaker for Sin
Sudan, continues his journeys through the lands of Baratiyyah and into and
among those families of Nagb that will recieve him (generally the ones that
haven't fully accepted Millati), picking up followers wherever he goes.
Difficulty: Normal
Modifiers:
+ Ereli can demonstrate the his ablity to speak to ancestors as well as his
ability to speak to the old gods.
Subparts:
The willingness of the Baratiyyah to accept his claims
The willingness of non-Millati Nagb to accept his claims
The openess of Marlupinists to the idea that Shanar may be an 'angel'
The acceptance of the youth, who have grown up without having known anyone
who worshiped the old gods
Action 2: A Scent of Gold
Remin ab Kurat and his brother Oliat have discoverd small nuggets of gold on
the banks of the Kelshiri river which they had been traveling up bringing
the words of He Who Is One. Not true priests, they decide to investigate
further.
Difficulty: Normal
Subparts:
The extent to which there is gold to be found in Kelshiri
The brothers ability to find it
How guilty the brothers feel about abandoning their personal mission to see
that no Kelshiri miss the light of He Who Is One
The helpfulness of the natives
 Action 3: Those Crazy Baratiyyah
A small unit of the Core Army is dispatched to Baratiyyah to ascertain the
extent of the revivalist movement, and whether this is something that the
Commonwealth needs to combat. The Brotherhood of the Night is asked to send
a member along to see if they can see anything the Army may miss. The
Brotherhood sends a promising Journeyman by the name of Malik aj-Nightblade.
Difficulty: Normal
Modifiers:
- The Army and the Brotherhood have never tried to work together before.
Subparts:
How well Malik and the men of the Army get along
Their success at finding those who have converted to the Earth Father
The chance of meeting Ereli ab Liam the Boy-Prophet
The openess of the unit to the idea that Shanar may be a Marlupinist
'angel'
 Action 4: Non Traditional Treasury
Olab ay-Bolari aj-Faymiyuniyya, Grand Master of the Commonwealth Treasury,
was true to his tribe and saw the money running from his fingers. The
inefficiencies of his cousins and nephews as they collected the taxes or
talied the totals were losing the Faymiyuniyya the monies of the
Commonwealth. And why? Because one hired ones family in order to see them
bettered. That was the way. That was tradition. But if tradition was losing
the Faymiyuniyya wealth, then tradition should be discarded. From now on
Olab aj-Faymiyuniyya would rid himself of inefficiencies and hire those who
were most able.
Difficulty: Normal
Subparts:
Whether the Bolari try to do anything about this insult
 The reaction of the Faymiyuniyya
How much more efficient Olab can make the treasury
The reaction of the rest of the Commonwealth to it being harder to dodge
taxes.

Wow. I like it Kalev, some very interesting ideas. The boy-prophet and
a potential Kelshiri gold rush especially.

[Cel] [Actions] Shanari 1460 (Kaeirean response)

Kalev,

I've written up short responses from three key elements in Kaeirean
society - the government (the Kaeirean Senate), and two private
religious organisations - the Kaeirean Millati church (the Holy Tower of
the South, in the Kaeirean city of New Tirmaeir) and the Grandmaster of
the Brotherhood of the Night (the Mother Lodge of the Brotherhood being
located in New Tirmaeir).

The Kaeirean Ambassador to the Commonwealth makes a visit to the Talis
of the Commonwealth and conveys the wish of the Senate to assist the
Commonwealth in this campaign. The Ambassador explains that as the
Green Republic of Kaeir is officially secular, it cannot get involved in
a specifically religious conflict, even if it is in support of a close
ally. However, Kaeir would be happy to provide support (preferably
logistics and arms, later perhaps even allow for private volunteers), if
needed, for both commercial (protection of the Trans-Calarnar trade,
which Kaeir has a significant interest in) and religious reasons (most
Kaeireans, especially the Great Houses, are Millati).

The Acting Grandmaster of the Brotherhood of the Night (the actual
Grandmaster, Avan Nightwalker, currently being on a religious retreat of
sorts and 'indisposed') - Master-Instructor Feratton Nightwalker - in a
message from the Mother-Lodge in New Tirmaeir, however does not have any
reservations, and promises whatever help is needed to crush this
heresy. If the military situation becomes more difficult, or if
pantheistic magic is involved, the Brotherhood will dispatch up to a
dozen men comprised of several Masters and Brothers, pending a report
from Journeyman Malik Nightblade and the Lodge-Master of Akbari, Qaib
Nightwalker. With the prior agreement of the blessed Talis, of course.

The Keeper of the Holy Tower of the South, Arlhan von Kahshaar, conveys
his prayers that the Talis and the Council are successful in their
efforts to restore order and justice amongst the Shanariyya. Keeper
Arlhan also conveys the desire of the Millati community in Kaeir to
assist, should the need arise.
