Where'd you get the idea I'd only accept something in MS-Word .doc format?

A text-only file is perfectly acceptable. 

And I much prefer receiving submissions in electronic form. Can't manipulate 
it otherwise.

 (Hmmm, will have to make sure Grey Ghost's Writers' Guidelines are brought 
up to date, if that's where you got your info....)
