I'm about to start a Fudge game with my players, but I want to start
by creating a solid "group" with the players before creating the
characters themselves.
Normally before we'd create our characters, for what ever system we're
using, and then just assume we're some sort of group. Never worked
(except in one instance: a SLA industries game but then each story had
a very fixed format).
I don't want to have some very intangible connection between the
characters such as the common one of having the same Mentor or having
very non-binding relationships such as "I'm an old friend", "I'm his
lodger" etc.
Nor do I want to "force" a connection between the players such as fear
of punishment.
Anyone got any suggestions or guidelines for creating groups (of
characters), with the players, as opposed to creating characters,
using Fudge?
