Just wondering how people approaching running chases and hunts in their games?

I've found it's hard to keep them tense and exciting for the players.

Here is a quick and simple universal conflict resolution system (whether the conflict is combat, a car chase, a political turf war, a debate, or something else).

Conflict is a sequence of opposed/unopposed actions that ends when one side is defeated
