Thanks to everyone who responded to my thread regarding how to introduce
newcomers to roleplaying.
After lots of consideration of the players involved, I've decided to go out
on a limb a little bit. I'm going to run Greg Stolze's excellent RPG: USAGI
YOJIMBO... which I have never run before.
There are two reasons for this: 1) My players dig chanbara cinema, 2) When
I mentioned the possibility of playing animals (a B&B game, perhaps) their
eyes lit up. The thought of playing anthropomorphic animals excited them
even more.
This is a genre that I've never delved into much, aside from reading 3 1/2
Usagi Yojimbo comics about six years ago. Still, the game is great (a
*complete* system and setting in only 96 pages... amazing) and I'm looking
forward to running it.
Anyway, just thought I'd send the list a heads-up since you folks were kind
enough to give me advice a few weeks ago.
