Y'know, I love seeing rude people being taken to task in a public forum.
Usually. But at some point the relevance of posts like this has to be
considered. Karen thinks S. John is rude. She even has proof. Okay, fine. I
hardly needed to join the GM mailing list to find that out.

I know Karen is one of the list-owners and everything (so she can do
whatever the hell she wants) but consider this a suggestion to take this
little war to private email. Thanks.

Actually, apart from managing the technical aspects of the list, I only do
whatever the hell I want in the same sense that anyone else here does
whatever the hell they want. GMAST is a list on the Phoenyx, but it's not
a Phoenyx list. That was one of the self-imposed conditions when GMAST
moved here, as an attempt to maintain the culture of GMAST. Which I don't
think has really happened (show of hands: does "pie crust" ring a bell
with most of you? Didn't think so), but still.

Anyway I'm just the server-owner. Carl is the list-owner.

A c'mon, Clan Bill can't be that old... I remember it *still* going on
when I rejoined the list, um... 94? 95? Sometime around then...

Although I'm fairly certain I did miss the Lakotas. I just remember them
being discussed.

If you remember the "Mech of the Week" then later I think it was "Mech of
the Day" -- you're old.

If you remember when Fluff was a GMAST-L thing as well as an ADND-L thing,
you're old (I have archives to prove it *grins*).

Can't think of another good late 80's thing...

Um, I dunno when I joined the first time. Honest! I was an undergrad, so
it was sometime between fall of 86 and spring of 90. Pretty sure it was
in either fall 87 or sometime in 88. I know I'm "older" than Tangent
because I remember when he joined both ADND-L and GMAST-L and I was
already on both. *frowns* That's it, I'm old -- the memory's going!

C'mon, come over here so I can smite you with something or other. :-P

I have other (er, far more gaming related!) posts to do sometime this
weekend when I get myself all caught up. Right now I'm jst rather happy
to be alive, after doing zen driving on the Mass Pike (lanes? there were
*lanes* in all that rain?) and discovering that a mini-van drives through
floods up to the undercarriage and higher just fine...

Course I was a bit white-knuckled, but the things I'll do to get to a good
fTF Amber game... *smiles*

D.
(who was once upon a time Deb Atwood, or D-Singer, and now occasionally
answers to Deb Allen... most especially when invoked *chuckles*)

Anyone know what ever happened to Jo? I just realized that I *still* have
special folder for her.

Well, I remember Fluff and, as I said, I can't have been here before late
'92/early '93.

Either that, or you're developing Parent's Syndrome. (That's the disease
that leads them to have a *second* one, total amnesia from moment-to-moment
of what the *first* one is like).

That's right, you were bringing the terror to these parts this weekend.
That means that AlbaCon is *next weekend*. (Tell Josh that we won't be
there to help build the art show, but we will hang around to tear it apart.
. . .)

You still answer to Atwood well enough . . . as I suspect will be tested at
AlbaCon.
