This is not my understanding. As I understand it, once the Borg have
adapted they are immune to that weapon. However, this seems to be
limited to the specific cube that has adapted. However (II), the Borg
*have* been coming at Earth 1 cube at a time. If there were two cubes
close together, they would quite possibly pass the adaptation to the
other...

Hmm. Really good question. My guess would be 'yes'.

Re: Crossbow. I would certainly assume so. In fact, using such
a weapon on them may result in some sort of disintegration field
so bringing it to their attention may actually be a bad idea. Still,
it should work against the first borg or two.
Grenades may need a little longer to block since they are
combination concussion/shrapnel weapons, but I imagine the Borg
would do it...
