Arrow velocity and damage

I remember when we once had a discussion on bullet velocities and damage.

Has anyone tried working the same theories to arrows and see how they react (such as pile arrows, flight arrows, and war arrows, how their damage coefficient reduces with extended range, and so forth)

Some time ago, we worked out the effect of arrow damage. I believe the
result was that the damage of the arrow wasn't substantially reduced as a
result of range, because of the extreme ballistic arc of the flight.
However, the accuracy went severely down the toilet.
