Maybe we should take Nathan after all?

The advantage: cute kids can get away with all sorts of things. The disadvantage: We found that we saw a lot less of the Faire when we took them around. [grin] The garb is certainly there. Heck, the night before we went last we managed to scrape together two costumes for them, and they're still little. (And my girlfriend didn't mind staying up late and sewing.) That's been our experience with Nathan... we love to show him around, but
a 1-year-old can certainly take away from our enjoyment of an event. And
considering that he loves playing at Grandma's a lot more than he enjoys
being hauled around something like a faire, and Grandma would pay us for
the opportunity to keep him, it works out best for everyone involved if we
leave him at Grandma's and get away for awhile.
