(Gather) Gathering Attendees...

Heh... I was wrong. Ann Dupuis (Grey Ghost Games, publisher of Fudge)
lives in Massachusets and is interested in the Gathering. (Who do I know
that lives in Ann Arbor, MI?)

So we might actually get more than four people. Which means we might need
to get a little more formal about what we're doing... a rough schedule or
something.

I'm trying to figure out what time we're going to be gaming... we're doing
the Faire, which by default I'd assume will be Saturday morning. That
would leave Saturday evening for gaming, except that half of our group so
far has other commitments... if we're going to game Saturday night, we'll
need enough people committed to being there for it to happen.

I'm wondering if maybe we ought to look at gaming on Saturday afternoon
and attending the Faire on Sunday. Would that work out better? In either
case, we can game Sunday night, and probably Friday night if there are
people interested. Karen, when are you wanting to meet the afu crowd?

But I suppose we ought to address the gaming issue itself... how much
gaming do we plan to do? It _is_ a Phoenyx event and it seems that a
promise of gaming is more likely to attract more people. I'm figuring on
running a Fudge adventure, though I'm not sure just what it'll be yet.

I'm also expecting to play a boardgame or two, unless nobody's interested
in that.

We have no problem leaving you in charge of the house while we go out, so
having the gaming at our place in our absence is not a problem.

King Richard's on Sunday is just as good for us.

Which is great... it just means we need a few more committed people before
I'd be willing to say we're having a gaming event on Saturday night.

I'd love to come, but sadly I'm on the wrong side of the Atlantic :(

Doesn't take an ocean to make it difficult... the cost of flying half-way
across the US will deter a lot of people. Doesn't matter if the ticket's
$200 or $800... if you don't have the $200 and accomodation expenses, you
just don't have it. I wanted to go to GenCon and the Gathering this year,
but couldn't find the funds.

That _is_ an interesting idea, though... if we can drum up enough support
to make it worth-while, maybe we'll have a Gathering on your side of the
pond. Tickets to London are only about $700 round-trip, just for
reference. Might have to take up a collection to get Karen and I there,
though. But I wouldn't mind saving up for a trip to Europe. :)

Don't bother pressing that key, there is no Esc.

Save that as a plan for 2005 when hopefully some of us will be heading over
in August anyway. *hopeful look* Although I suppose that would be ironic
to make it to a gather across an ocean when I can't get to the one 2 hours
away. *groans*

Carl, if they're committed, they won't be able to come, unless they can get
a day pass or something. :)

Yeah. Right. I'll have to see what I can do. I Know People. Important
People. And Doktor Underkoffler has Powers, and I know him, too. I think
something can be arranged.
