There's a snapshot of a page here: http://www.phoenyx.net/test.html which has, as you'll notice (well, if you're reading this anytime close to when I posted it) some pretty awful icons. Hey, I'm busy writing the code, and reluctantly writing an ugly-but-works template (since nobody's volunteered to write halfway decent ones and I've only got a green belt in CSS fu), I don't have time to make actual icons. We need a 40x40 JPEG that clearly (but not necessarily textually) says GAMERS. It'll show up in the web forums, in the RSS feeds, and things like that. (Oh, and the links off that page will take you all sorts of wacky out-of-date places, so pay them no mind. It's just a test page.) -- Karen J. Okay, I have an icon. It's not crystal-clear (it's either polyhedrals or lumps of coal), but it's there, thanks to Roger. It's also in use out on the main page of the Phoenyx. Folks... y'all are on a web forum. Say cheese, indeed. For the time being, you'll probably want to visit the dynamic version, at http://www.phoenyx.net/wirebird/ - when we're out of beta, the "wirebird/" will be out of the URL (sometimes you'll see it as cgi-bin/viceroy.pl/, which is normal for now), but otherwise everything should remain as is (and the website will redirect... and be way faster). I know it's April 1 (or still is in my part of the world), but I'm not foolin'... we have a lot of work left to do (as you'll see when you visit), but we just took a pretty large step into the future. In honor of that, many folks around the world will be setting their clocks forward an hour tonight. If that's you, don't forget. ---------------------------------------------------------------- GAMERS Home Page: http://www.phoenyx.net/gamers/

(Speaking of futurism, see "The World's Only Hygiene", the writeup of yesterday's I-Cops adventure, at http://tekeli.li/i-cops/icops_journal.html . I don't often run straight whodunnits, but it seemed to come out fairly well.) -- Roger, gaming grognard Lots of role-playing stuff: http://tekeli.li/ ---------------------------------------------------------------- GAMERS Home Page: http://www.phoenyx.net/gamers/
256 pixels? I'll have you know those icons have a full 1600 pixels. And yeah, of course you guys set your clocks forward last week. It's because of the high percentage of UK folks in the beta crew. I think we're disproportionately Canadian there, too, but I'm not sure when they did the honorary Phoenyx future thing. (Hey, I grew up in Indianapolis, where we don't mess with time at all, so I still haven't caught on to this crazy idea.) Somebody set up a Frappr thingy for the Fudge List awhile back. I'm thinking we ought to set one up for GAMERS, or for the Phoenyx at large. Although now that I think about it, the map I saw was US-only, so maybe Frappr isn't the right tool. I didn't delve too deeply into the details, though. (Google Maps makes my computer very tired.) ---------------------------------------------------------------- GAMERS Home Page: http://www.phoenyx.net/gamers/
