Okay, I went and did it... Episode 0 of "The Art of Roleplaying" Podcast. http://raven.phoenyx.net/mutterings/20061005.html It's not set up properly as a real podcast yet. If I get positive feedback (I mean, _any_ positive feedback, 'cause I'm easy), I'll give it a permanent home and a proper feed with enclosures. (That "phoenyx" doesn't lend itself to spoken word... I don't like to have to spell it out. "taorp.com" is short, but would have to be spelled as well. theartofroleplaying.com is easy to say out-loud, but a pain to type.) -- Carl D Cravens (raven@phoenyx.net) Gamers List Owner [ My Roleplaying Blog -- http://raven.phoenyx.net/mutterings/ ] Madness takes its toll...please have exact change.

Yes... and it's intentional. The podcast is a journey... the path
to roleplaying enlightenment. :) But I think I'd still have to spell
it out, and it's a clumsy sequence of letters to recite.
So I've got theartofroleplaying.com. It'll do. It's only one letter
longer than gamerthepodcasting.com.
(I'll say that after configuring all the blogging software for it, I
_did_ get tired of typing it. :)

So many idiots, so little ammunition.
"dow-arr-pee-dot-comm" is difficult to recite? Carl D Cravenswrote: On Fri, 6 Oct 2006, T. M. Neeck wrote: > You _do_ realize it's a short leap from "taorp.com" to "TaoRP dot com"? As I said, I'd have to spell it out. Especially, if you pronounce it
"dao" and not "tao" (legitimate as the pronunciation may be), it
doesn't naturally lead to the right spelling.
Much easier to say "the art of roleplaying dot com", and it's more
obvious in print. Even TaoRP.com isn't exactly clear advertising.
TheArtOfRoleplaying.com is obvious in print and speech.

We could make it a bumper. The wider audience wouldn't get it,
though.

Um... you never got to hear it? Hrm. You're probably right... it
didn't occur to me that all the time it's been sitting on my harddrive
I never let you listen to the final edit. It's only been sitting
there since 10/29/2005. (Really... we recorded a podcast session a
_year_ ago and finally decided I had enough to say that was worth
listening to to commit to it.)
Don't worry... you sound fine. I'm the one that keeps going
"Yeeaahhhh...?" in response to your statements. ("Real soon now, I'm
going to find a place to connect to this conversation.")
