Ryzar and Jaldaric are closest to the enraged beast. Jal's heroic leap lands him squarely on the beast's back. This is enough to distract the beast from trying to run down Reylorna, and she has just enough time to get out of it's way while it concentrates on trying to throw Jaldadic off. Ryzar steps between it and Reylorna, and slashes at the beast's neck. But the enrages animal somehow manages to dodge the blow. Duplar wastes another charge by missing the his target completely. He realises that the risk of hitting either Jaldaric or Ryzar is too great to attempt another shot. But neither Jal not Ryzar manage to harm the beast; Jaldaric finds it next to impossible to stab the beast's neck while it's trying to throw him off, and Ryzar finds that it keeps dodging it's blows. Jorg and Dharak are now within range. Dharak is immediately aware that it's being controlled. [Reylorna] She exhales "whew" as the creature is distracted from trying to gore her. The physical attacks seem to be having no real effect, had any of them even hit it yet? She stands trying to think of another option. Could they work together to mentally subdue it this close to it? Or would it kill them all. They needed to do something, and quick. Yelling "a few of you help me, we must try to attack it in multipule ways." She begins to concentrate on attacking the beast mentally and putting it to sleep, hopefully at least Duplar, if not some of the others will offer their assitance, and they can put it down once again. -Sean

I don't have a sleep attack like Reylorna, but perhaps I can confuse it.** Duplar knows his powers are most effective against a sleeping mind, but perhaps if he can make contact with such a primitive animal mind he will be able to do something even if it is not asleep. to be -- Ryzar continues to attack the beast. In an almost maniacal manner,
Ryzar chops at the beast again and again.

[Hurray! I achieved something. Now all I gotta do is survive it!] Jal clings on for dear life, abandoning his attempts to stick his sword into a critical portion of the beast. Pitching it gently off to one side, away from his comrades, he improves his grip by freeing both hands and attempts to move up the creature's neck to a point where he can reach its' eyes. If he can, he'll try and poke them out with his armoured fingers; if not, he'll just concentrate on hanging on and unbalancing the beast's movements.
