Quickly realizing that The Beast has taken control of Jaldaric -- no
doubt to prevent Ryzar from locating it! -- Ryzar's anger at such mental
domination only flares higher.
"I will NOT be denied, Kolder!" Ryzar shouts -- not at Jal, but at the
whole world -- as he rushes in and attempts to lay the flat of his blade up
against Jaldaric's head. Ryzar's intent IS to knock out his unfortunate,
mind-controlled friend, not kill him.
But this is a thing that must be done quickly, for Ryzar is convinced
that The Beast would not have had Jaldaric attack him, if he were not close
to finding The Beast.
And Ryzar is DETERMINED to find this vile Kolder-spawn, and kill it.
