[GM:Salar] >Salar creeps round the building, brandishing the plank of wood. The >two women have their backs to him, and he creeps across the crude >street. > >He's almost made it to safety, to the wall of the large stone >building, when he trips over what he though was a bundle of rags, >except it gives out a yelp. Salar jumps over what turns to a small human child who turns round and stares at him with big round eyes. One of the two women turns round, hearing the child's cry; Salar's pretty sure she's seen him. He ducks out of sight and crawls though a conveniently open doorway into the depths of the large stone building. It takes a moment for his eyes to adjust to the near darkness inside; the building seems larger inside than out; perhaps a trick of the light. It's mostly empty, as if it's used as a meeting hall or a temple to whatever false or perverted beings these humans worship. He has only a moment before a second door on his left bursts open to reveal two armed human men. One utters a curse in their guttural human language Salar has never lowered himself to master, before switching to heavily accented Filgan. "Yur vill zurender!", he says, "Dvop yur veapan". -- Tim Hall, http://www.kalyr.com "It's a fine line between stupid and clever" - Spinal Tap
Salar throws himself at the two warriors, catching the first off-guard and sending him sprawling backwards. Salar whirls round swinging his improvised weapon at the second, striking him across the shoulder. The plank shatters into splintered wood, but the human staggers back a few paces. By the time Salar can pick up the spear dropped by the first warrior, the second has recovered from the blow and lunges at Salar with his own spear. Salar is more used to fighting with a sword than a primitive spear, and he's unable to fend off the blow, which slashes his leg. There is shouting from the village street outside. -- Tim Hall, http://www.kalyr.com "It's a fine line between stupid and clever" - Spinal Tap
Salar tries to knock his opponents spear away but he's just not quick enough; he finds himself pinned against the wall with the spear pointing at his throat. These humans are better warriors than any human has a right to be! Two more men, one unarmed, the other holding an axe step through the door. There start jabbering in their crude human language - although Salar can't understand their words, the intent is clear enough; they think Salar should be killed. -- Tim Hall, http://www.kalyr.com "It's a fine line between stupid and clever" - Spinal Tap
The knight of Kardak reminds himself never to try and fight with a spear again. "Where is the stuff you have taken from me deliver it to me now or you will all pay the price for it", he says, somewhat in desperation. The human warrior edges the spearpoint closer, pressing harder against Salar's neck. "Ve ask zher questions her", the warrior replies, "And your so-called friends zhat levt you to die dun't even know you're here. Zhey zhink you're vordral food by now. And your kandar god has abandoned you now. Zo dun't try anyzhing stupid, or you will join you god today". -- Tim Hall, http://www.kalyr.com "It's a fine line between stupid and clever" - Spinal Tap
*Why did you bring me here what do you want with me*, he silently asks his Guardian. But the Guardian is silent; Salar has no oracle. *My god is only testing my faith and I will prevail if I stay true*, he thinks. "You vill come vidth us", the human savage says in his crude accent, "Und you vill not dry to exgape again!. Ve vill have do dezide vhat do to vidth you". The other human motions towards the door, the direction in which he seems to want Salar to follow. -- Tim Hall, http://www.kalyr.com "It's a fine line between stupid and clever" - Spinal Tap
